Neptune Seed Bank is a US online seed shop that resells sealed packs from a long list of mostly American boutique breeders, sells its own Neptune Pharms line, and also lists hemp flower, vapes, extracts, clones and a separate pack auction site. Our verdict: one of the largest US catalogs for breeder packs, with free US shipping over $199 and frequent sales, held back by expensive shipping below that threshold, no written germination guarantee, international delivery at your own risk and policy pages that contradict each other. We score it 6.6/10.
This review is based on Neptune Seed Bank’s published policies, current prices and shipping options in its cart and checkout, and independent customer feedback. All facts were checked on October 27, 2026. We did not place an order.

Buying From Neptune Seed Bank in the USA
Neptune Seed Bank is a domestic shop for US buyers, so there is no customs step for American orders. The cart offered US shipping to every state we tested (Alabama, California, New York and Texas), and the FAQ promises free standard shipping on orders over $199. The FAQ says cards need a US billing address, and the site requires an age of 21 or older.
First-time orders over $500 and any flower purchase require a matching ID, which the FAQ says its banking partner requires; verification is one time only. The site also states that everything it sells contains “less than 0.03% THC” and that seeds “ship legally to all 50 states”. Those are the shop’s own legal statements; read the legal note in the shipping section below before you order.
Who Neptune Seed Bank Is
Neptune Seed Bank describes itself in the FAQ on its homepage as “one of the original US cannabis seed banks” that carries breeder packs alongside genetics bred in-house. We could not verify the “original” claim; what we can confirm is that the neptuneseedbank.com domain was registered in November 2015 and that growers have been discussing the shop on Reddit since at least 2019. The homepage FAQ also states that it is online only, with no walk-in store.
The site does not publish a company name on an About page. The terms and conditions say payments are made payable to American Industrial Design, and the US checkout tells customers who pay cash to mail it within 72 hours to Neptunes Novelties Inc. at a P.O. Box in Garden Grove, California. We could not confirm either entity in the California business register.
Neptune also runs wholesale and reseller programs and a cash-only auction site for rare and third-party packs at auctions.neptuneseedbank.com.
Catalog and Seed Types
The catalog is very large. On October 27, 2026 the Seeds category showed 2,456 listings; the Feminized, Regular Seeds and Auto Flowering tags held 972, 1,491 and 134 products, and the whole shop showed 2,638 products. These counts include sold-out listings, so the number you can actually buy on a given day is lower. The breeders page links to about 240 brand pages, from boutique US breeders such as Seed Junky Genetics, Relentless Genetics, Square One Genetics, Oni Seed Co., Josh D Seeds, Bred by 42 and Robin Hood Seeds to larger names such as Humboldt Seed Co, Barney’s Farm and Royal Queen Seeds.
Popular strains appear across several breeders. Humboldt Seed Co’s Blueberry Muffin feminized was listed in 3 and 5 packs, and Barney’s Farm Sour Diesel also had a page, but both were out of stock on October 27, 2026. A “Last Chance” section collects rare and discontinued packs, and the in-house Neptune Pharms line includes Wild Biscotti and Mermaid Tears.
The FAQ says every pack ships sealed in the breeder’s original packaging and that the shop never splits packs. Tags are not always reliable (a Chic-Lit autoflower listing is tagged “Regular Seeds”), so check the “Sex” field on each product page. If you are still choosing a seed type, our guide to feminized vs autoflower vs regular seeds explains the trade-offs.
Neptune also lists rooted clones and slips, shipped on Mondays only at a flat $50, and a range of hemp products: flower, pre-rolls, vapes and extracts, with lab certificates on a COA page.
Prices and Pack Sizes
Pack sizes follow the breeder, from 3 seeds to 15 or more. These are the prices on the product pages on October 27, 2026, during the shop’s Halloween sale:
| Strain (breeder, type, pack) | Regular price | Sale price, Oct 27, 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Wild Biscotti (Neptune Pharms, feminized, 3 seeds) | $30.00 ($10.00/seed) | $19.50 ($6.50/seed) |
| Cementter-Pops (Cult Classic Seeds, feminized, 6 seeds) | $50.00 ($8.33/seed) | $25.00 ($4.17/seed) |
| Chic-Lit Auto (Twenty 20 Genetics, autoflower, 3 seeds) | $30.00 ($10.00/seed) | $15.00 ($5.00/seed) |
| Mermaid Tears (Neptune Pharms, feminized, 6 seeds) | $75.00 ($12.50/seed) | $48.75 ($8.13/seed) |
| DEBO (Bred by 42, regular, 5 seeds) | $60.00 ($12.00/seed) | $30.00 ($6.00/seed) |
| OG Kiss (Josh D Seeds, regular, 12 seeds) | $150.00 ($12.50/seed) | $97.50 ($8.13/seed) |
| Banger-C (Robin Hood Seeds, feminized, 5 seeds) | $65.00 ($13.00/seed) | Not on sale |
| Pre 98 Bubba Kush S1 (Katsu Seeds, feminized, 6 seeds) | $100.00 ($16.67/seed) | Not on sale |
| Purple Cake (Seed Junky Genetics, regular, 10 seeds) | $550.00 ($55.00/seed) | $275.00 ($27.50/seed) |
| Speechless (Relentless Genetics, feminized, 7 seeds) | $500.00 ($71.43/seed) | Not on sale |
In short, mainstream and house-brand packs cost roughly $8 to $17 a seed at regular prices, while sought-after US boutique packs such as Seed Junky and Relentless run from about $55 to over $70 a seed. Sales move these numbers a lot: on October 27, 2026 many listings were marked 35%, 50% or 70% off.
Refunds are limited. The FAQ says “once it ships, all sales are final”, and the terms rule out returns. A separate refund page describes a 30-day return window, but it is an unedited template with placeholders such as “{email address}”.
Shipping by Region
United States. Orders ship within 24 to 48 hours of payment, except pre-sales, and tracking is emailed when the label is scanned. In the cart on October 27, 2026, US orders below $199 could choose Discreet Shipping at $15 (double-packaged, priority, usually 2 to 3 business days per the FAQ), Signature Required at $20 (also double-packaged and priority) or Guaranteed Shipping at $25. A test cart of $214.50 added a free shipping option, in line with the FAQ’s free standard shipping on orders over $199. The FAQ also lists a $10 Standard ground option (5 to 10 days) and a $15 Shipping Protection add-on, but neither appeared in the cart when we tested, so check the options at checkout.
Canada. The cart offered a flat rate of $30, or $50 for a “stealth” option with taxes and duties prepaid, which the shop labels “at your own risk”.
UK and Europe. For the UK, Germany and the Netherlands the cart offered “International” shipping at $35 or a $50 option in which seeds are hidden in a T-shirt and may be removed from their original packaging. Both options state that the shop will not replace lost or seized packages.
Australia. International Shipping cost $50. No delivery times are listed for international orders, and international buyers can only pay by bank transfer.
Packaging, theft and lost parcels. Every order ships in plain packaging, and the Discreet and Signature options add double-packaging. Each order is photographed before packing, so missing items can be checked and reshipped. Parcels that USPS marks delivered are not replaced; the shop recommends the Signature option against porch theft.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Germination Guarantee: What the Policy Says
Neptune Seed Bank does not publish a germination guarantee with a percentage, a time limit or a claim procedure. Its FAQ describes how it handles germination problems:
- How to report: email [email protected] with the details.
- Who decides: the shop takes the case to the breeder, and replacements are “ultimately at their discretion”, because the shop does not open packs or control the genetics.
- Fallback: if the breeder will not help, the FAQ says “we’ll work something out”, which may mean packs from Neptune’s own private label.
- What is not stated: a germination percentage, a deadline, required proof, or whether free seeds are covered.
Check the breeder’s own replacement terms before you buy an expensive pack.
Payment Methods
The payment options depend on the delivery country. With a US address, the checkout on October 27, 2026 offered “Credit Card (US)” and “Cash Payment”, where cash must be mailed within 72 hours with the order number to Neptunes Novelties Inc. in Garden Grove, California. The FAQ excludes American Express and requires a US billing address. With a Canadian, UK, EU or Australian address, the only option was a bank transfer, with bank details sent by email.
The wholesale policy lists more options for wholesale orders of $500 or more, including money orders, certified bank checks, Bitcoin and wire transfers, and card payments with a 2.5% fee. We found no PayPal, Venmo or Cash App option.
Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes
As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Neptune Seed Bank:
Current sales. The deals page announced a Halloween sale from October 23 to 31, 2026 with up to 70% off select breeders, and products were already shown at 35%, 50% or 70% off. These prices applied without a code. We found no public site-wide discount code on October 27, 2026. Treat third-party coupon sites with caution.
Free seeds. The FAQ promises free seeds with every order. Breeder freebie offers are grouped in a “BOGO” section.
Canna Bucks. The loyalty page gives 1 Canna Buck per $1 spent, 100 for referring a friend (who also gets 100), 100 on your birthday, 100 for writing a positive review, 50 each for following on X and TikTok and 150 for joining its Telegram or Discord. The page does not say what a Canna Buck is worth when you redeem it.
Customer Service
Neptune Seed Bank lists these contact channels:
- Email: [email protected], and a contact form on the contact page, which says the shop “generally” replies within 24 hours
- Social channels: Instagram, X, Telegram and Discord
- A separate wholesale address for wholesale orders
We found no phone number or live chat. The FAQ warns that orders are only taken on the website, not through Instagram, Telegram or other channels, which is useful protection against impersonators. Unshipped orders can be changed or combined by email.
Reputation
Review platforms. The SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) page for neptuneseedbank.com had no reviews and was unclaimed on October 27, 2026, and we found no Reviews.io page. We could not check the BBB, whose search was not accessible to us.
On-site reviews. The shop’s own review page shows mostly 5-star reviews, but recent ones are mostly about flower and vapes, several come from the same few accounts, and the loyalty program rewards “a positive review” with points.
Reddit. Threads on r/microgrowery show a shifting tone:
- “100% Neptune is my favorite” (January 29, 2022): a buyer praises the freebies, another user says the shop “always” delivers with freebies, and one reply says delivery took a while.
- “Neptune checking ID?” (February 15, 2022): users discuss the photo ID request for card orders, and one says it put them off ordering.
- “Shout out to Neptune seed bank” (April 28, 2023): a buyer reports seeds arriving in less than a week; a reply says an earlier order “took weeks and weeks” but recent ones arrived in under a week.
- “Is this sight legit?” (July 4, 2023): replies say the auction site is real but sells third-party packs whose authenticity is harder to check.
- “How is Neptune seed bank listing flower on their site?” (April 5, 2026): several users say the hemp/THCA flower listings make them uneasy; one buyer reports that support let them keep wrongly sent seeds and shipped the correct pack.
These are individual reports that we cannot verify.
Website and Grow Resources
The shop is large and well filtered by seed type, breeder and sale level, and product pages list lineage, pack size, flowering time and terpene notes. Our guides on how to grow cannabis at home and autoflower vs photoperiod cover the basics. The weak spot is consistency: the refund page is an unedited template, the FAQ shipping table does not match the cart, some products carry the wrong seed-type tag, the homepage still speaks of “500+” products, some product descriptions make health claims, and the legal statements about THC content and shipping to all 50 states are firmer than the law supports.
Who Neptune Seed Bank Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
A good fit if you: live in the US and want a very wide choice of sealed packs from US boutique breeders in one place; spend over $199 per order and get free shipping; like freebies with every order and shop during sales; or hunt for rare and last-chance packs, including through the auction site.
Look elsewhere if you: want a written germination guarantee with clear terms; place small orders, where $15 to $25 shipping adds a lot; live outside the US and want card payment or protection against lost or seized parcels; or prefer a seed-only shop without flower and vape products.
Scoring Summary
| Category | Score |
|---|---|
| Seed Quality and Germination | 6.5/10 |
| Shipping and Delivery | 6.5/10 |
| Customer Service | 6.0/10 |
| Product Range | 9.0/10 |
| Price and Value | 6.5/10 |
| Website and UX | 5.0/10 |
| Overall | 6.6/10 |
Neptune Seed Bank scores 6.6/10 overall. Product Range is its clear strength at 9.0/10: 2,456 seed listings and about 240 brand pages, with many US boutique breeders, clones and an auction site. Seed Quality and Germination scores 6.5/10: sealed breeder packs, but no written germination guarantee. Shipping and Delivery also scores 6.5/10: quick dispatch, free US shipping over $199 and international delivery, offset by $15 to $25 below the threshold and no replacement for lost or seized international parcels.
Price and Value sits at 6.5/10: regular prices range from about $8 to over $70 a seed, but frequent sales, free seeds and Canna Bucks bring the real cost down. Customer Service scores 6.0/10, with email and a contact form only and mixed Reddit feedback. Website and UX is the lowest category at 5.0/10 because of the template refund page, a shipping table that does not match the cart, mis-tagged products and overstated legal claims.

Final Verdict
Neptune Seed Bank is an established US online seed shop: its domain dates from 2015, growers have discussed it on Reddit since at least 2019, and it carries a very wide selection of sealed packs from US boutique breeders, with free seeds on every order, regular sales and free US shipping over $199. It also ships to Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia.
The gaps are concrete. There is no written germination guarantee, small US orders pay $15 to $25 shipping, international orders are paid by bank transfer and travel at your own risk, and the site’s policy pages contradict each other. If you are a US grower hunting for specific boutique genetics and you order in larger baskets, it is a strong place to shop. To compare it with the rest of the field, see our seedbank review hub.
