Canuk Seeds is a North American seed shop that sells its own Canuk Seeds line of feminized, autoflower, regular, F1 and CBD seeds, plus its signature “Canuk Puk” mix packs built into real hockey pucks. It ships worldwide from shipping centers in Canada and the USA, with free delivery to Canada and the US on orders above CA$165. Our verdict: a long-running, reachable shop with a big catalog and cheap regular seeds, held back by strict germination claim rules, extra payment fees and mixed grower feedback. We score it 6.0/10.

This review is based on Canuk Seeds’ published policies, its listed prices and independent customer feedback. Canuk’s website could not be loaded for our check on October 22, 2026, so policy details come from the most recent archived versions of its pages (June 2025 to May 2026, dated in the Sources list). Buying Canuk Seeds from the USA

US buyers get more attention here than at most Canadian shops. Canuk runs a separate US phone line (585-THC-SEED, or 585-842-7333), and its delivery page says orders ship from its shipping center in Canada or the USA by Canada Post, USPS or other couriers. US orders are quoted at 5 to 14 business days. The page lists a flat CA$14 per US order and free delivery above CA$165 (about US$120). A 2% order handling fee applies on top, and card payments carry a 7.5% processing fee, so the total at checkout is higher than the product prices suggest.

Every order is trackable and no signature is required. For Canada and the US only, you can buy Delivery Insurance: if tracking shows the parcel as not delivered, Canuk resends the order or issues store credit, but the page also asks for photo proof that the order was intercepted before it does either (one reshipment or credit per order, void with a wrong address). Without insurance, Canuk does not take responsibility for lost parcels. Its terms also say that in countries where cultivation is illegal it sells seeds as “collectible adult genetic preservation” souvenirs, and that it is not responsible for parcels intercepted or lost in transit when they are sent to a country where the product is illegal. Who Canuk Seeds Is

Its About page says Canuk Seeds “is based in Canada and the USA” and sources genetics from around the world. On the 2025 version of the site, the contact address in the footer was Delta Trading LLC, 1267 Willis St #200, Redding, California, marked “NOT for payments”, while cash and money orders go to a mailing address in Cobourg, Ontario. The 2026 pages we reviewed no longer show the Delta Trading address, and we found no other legal entity named on the site.

Canuk Seeds and True North Seed Bank appear to share an operator. The 2025 True North Seed Bank contact page lists the same two phone numbers and opening hours as Canuk, promotes a “FREE CANUK SEEDS CATALOG!” and sells Canuk PUKs and Canuk Gear, and its payment page uses nearly identical terms (cards for Canada and the US only with a 7.5% fee, 10% off cash, e-Transfer for Canada only). One Reddit commenter in 2021 called Canuk the in-house brand of True North. Neither site states the relationship, so we treat it as likely rather than confirmed. For buyers it means that True North Seed Bank is probably not an independent second opinion on Canuk genetics.

The domain itself goes back years: the site’s copyright line starts in 2011, and the oldest archived version of canukseeds.com we found dates from 2015.

The company describes itself inconsistently. The About page claims “an inventory of over 1000 strains”, while its main category page says “over 100 different strains” and mentions “headquarters in both the UK and Canada”. The delivery page, which matters most to buyers, names Canada and the USA as shipping points.

Catalog and Seed Types

The shop sells its own Canuk Seeds-branded line. The main category listed 971 products in October 2025, split into Standard and ELITE strains, Fast versions, regular, feminized, feminized F1 and auto-feminized seeds, high CBD strains, single seeds and bulk seeds. In 2026 the newest additions were F1 feminized ELITE strains such as Purple Punch F1, Lemon Kush F1, Mimosa F1 and Do-Si-Dos F1.

Familiar names include Blue Dream, Trainwreck, Green Crack, Acapulco Gold, Wedding Cake, Durban Poison and Zkittlez Glue, alongside house strains such as Canuk Cookies and Obi-Wan Kush (listed on SeedFinder). Product pages give THC range, flowering time, yield, height and genetics, and the category pages can be filtered by sex, flowering type, variety, CBD content, where to grow and pack size.

The Limited Edition Canuk Puks are the brand’s signature product: 12 seeds, four strains with three seeds each, built into an actual hockey puck. The Puk 4.0, for example, combines Bruce Banner FAST, Cinderella 99 FAST, Northern Lights and King Tut feminized seeds. The October 2025 listing showed 14 Puk versions (Auto, CBD, Fast, Gold and others, plus a “Build-A-Puk”) at US$132.35 each, and a larger Slap Shot Puk Series. Prices and Pack Sizes

Pack sizes depend on the line: feminized ELITE strains come in 3 and 7 seed packs, autos in 1 and 5, regulars in 10, and some standard strains also in single seeds and 25-packs. These are the most recent listed prices we could confirm:

On the May 2026 homepage, ELITE feminized and F1 strains started at US$39.97 and standard feminized strains such as Trainwreck and Critical Widow at US$36.37. Dollar prices on the site are approximate: Canuk recalculates them daily from Canadian dollars and charges in CAD or USD, so your statement can differ slightly. Regular seeds are the clear bargain; feminized and auto seeds sit around $11 to $14 a seed before the 2% handling fee and, for card payments, the 7.5% card fee. Sales tax applies to Canadian orders only.

Returns must be requested within 14 days of receiving your order, goods must be unused and in their original packaging, and returns are refunded as store credit only, per the returns policy. Shipping costs are not refunded. Store credit does not expire. Products that turn out to be out of stock are a different case: the terms say those are refunded to your card immediately, while the returns page says store credit is applied automatically if Canuk cannot reach you.

Shipping by Region

Canada. Orders should arrive in 3 to 14 business days. The cost is pulled from Canada Post rates for your postal code, and delivery is free above CA$165. Delivery Insurance is available.

United States. 5 to 14 business days, CA$14 per order, free above CA$165 (about US$120), Delivery Insurance available. Details are in the section above.

Europe and the UK. 3 to 14 business days at CA$75 per order. Canuk’s legal disclaimer includes a UK warning that germinating seeds without a license is illegal there, while possessing souvenir seeds is legal. There is no Delivery Insurance outside Canada and the US, so you order at your own risk.

Australia and New Zealand. 7 to 21 business days at CA$150 per order, also without insurance. Canuk strongly recommends its Extra Safe Stealth Shipping options for North America and Australia.

Rest of the world. Up to 25 business days at CA$110 per order. Costa Rica (CA$100) and Africa (CA$180) have their own rates, both quoted at 7 to 21 business days.

Packaging. Seeds go out in bubble wrap inside bubble envelopes that show only your address, a stamp and the tracking label, with no company name or description of the contents. According to Canuk’s FAQ, high-value orders are split into separate packages for every CA$500 worth of seeds. For extra stealth you can add a T-shirt, mug or other accessory, or ask for the seeds to be removed from the breeder packaging. Canuk states that stealth options do not guarantee delivery.

Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.

Germination Guarantee: The Exact Terms

Canuk’s germination policy guarantees an 85% germination rate in countries where germination is legal. The conditions are strict:

• Only one claim per order. If you germinate seeds from the same order at different times, only the seeds in your first claim count.
• The claim must be filed within 90 days of the delivery date.
• You must use the method in Canuk’s Germination Guide (a damp paper towel) and show it with photos or video. The guarantee is void if you planted straight into soil or used a starter kit, rockwool, peat pellets or any other germination device.
• Retry germination before you contact support, and keep the seeds that did not sprout, because Canuk may ask you to return them.
• Approved claims get replacement seeds of the same strain, and you pay the shipping.
• Freebies, clearance items, orders paid with store credit, reshipments and BOGO packs are excluded. BOGO packs in your original order count as replacements.
• Claims go through a ticket or email only (choose “Germination” in the contact form), with your order number, strain names, the number of failed seeds, a detailed description of your method and photos or video.

Canuk’s payment page lists five options:

• Credit and debit cards, for Canada and the US only, with a 7.5% processing fee
• Cash sent by registered mail to Cobourg, Ontario, with 10% off (the promotions page sets a CA$200 minimum and limits it to Canada and the US)
• International money order or cashier’s check, in USD or CAD only
• Bank transfer, not available for Canada and the US, typically confirmed in 3 to 5 business days
• Interac e-Transfer, Canada only

No cryptocurrency is listed on Canuk’s payment page. Orders must be paid in full before dispatch, customers pay bank transfer charges and any import duty, and only one discount or coupon code applies per order.

Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Canuk Seeds:

Newsletter discount. Signing up for the newsletter gets you 20% off your next order and an entry into a monthly draw for free Canuk Seeds worth US$100 (CA$130). This is the main way to get a Canuk Seeds discount code; we found no public coupon code on Canuk’s own pages, so treat codes on third-party coupon sites with caution.

Clearance. A Clearance section offers up to 75% off selected seeds. Clearance items are final sale and excluded from the germination guarantee.

Cash discount. 10% off when you pay cash by mail, with a CA$200 minimum for Canada and US orders.

Mystery freebies. The promotions page has offered free mystery seeds by order value: 1 seed from CA$50, 2 from CA$200, 3 from CA$400 and 4 above CA$600, subject to stock. Freebies are not covered by the germination guarantee.

Canuk does not run a points or loyalty program. Discounts do not stack: the highest discount per product applies automatically.

On public complaint handling there is little independent data. We found no Better Business Bureau profile under the Canuk Seeds name, and its SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) page had no reviews on October 22, 2026. Reddit reports on support are mixed: one grower wrote in 2023 that Canuk did send a replacement after a complaint, but that the replacement for a feminized Jack Herer was an autoflower, and another wrote in January 2025 that the company would not honor its own guarantee (see Reputation).

Reputation

Independent review platforms say almost nothing about Canuk Seeds: no BBB profile found and no SmartCustomer reviews (checked October 22, 2026). The star ratings on canukseeds.com product pages are on-site reviews, and most products show few or none.

Reddit is where most feedback lives, and it is split. Reports we could verify:

• In a 2021 r/microgrowery thread, the poster reported poor germination and plants that stayed a few inches tall and started flowering without a light change. One commenter wrote that their Canuk plants turned hermaphrodite while their other genetics stayed female. Other commenters reported good results with Canuk, including a King Tut Fast and a Canuk Puk Royal that germinated fully, and one suggested the poster’s germination technique was to blame. Later replies in the same thread are more negative: a 2023 reply said a replacement for feminized Jack Herer arrived as an autoflower, a January 2025 reply reported germination of around 20% on autoflowers and said Canuk would not honor its guarantee, and a March 2025 reply reported a Critical Killer that turned hermaphrodite.
• In a June 2024 r/MarijuanaSeeds thread, a long-time customer who had used Canuk for years without problems reported that two of three AK Fast seeds from a Fast Puk did not germinate and the third was male. Replies included a grower who described a couple of hermaphrodites, mutations and small autos among Canuk seeds, and another whose Blueberry feminized seed grew as an autoflower, while their Cherry Cookies turned out well.
• In a November 2024 r/microgrowery thread, two growers vouched for Canuk strains, including Cherry Cookies and Green Crack.

These are individual reports, not test results, and growing conditions vary. But the same themes (feminized seeds behaving like autos, occasional hermaphrodites, uneven germination) come up in more than one thread, so start with a small pack and learn to spot a male or hermaphrodite plant early.

Who Canuk Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

A good fit if you: live in Canada or the US and will spend CA$165 for free shipping; want cheap regular seeds for breeding or hunting phenotypes; like the idea of a Canuk Puk as a gift or sampler; prefer to call a real phone line; or want to pay by cash or e-Transfer.

Look elsewhere if you: germinate in plugs, rockwool or straight in soil (the guarantee will not apply); want to pay by card without a surcharge; want returns refunded to your card rather than as store credit; need a loyalty program; or want a seedbank with a substantial independent review record.

Scoring Summary

Canuk Seeds scores 6.0/10 overall. Product Range is the strongest category at 7.0/10: hundreds of products across feminized, F1, auto, regular, fast and CBD lines, plus single seeds, bulk packs and the Canuk Puk mix packs. Shipping and Delivery follows at 6.5/10, with worldwide delivery, shipping points in Canada and the US, tracking on every order and free North American delivery above CA$165, held back by a 2% handling fee, high international rates and insurance limited to Canada and the US. Customer Service gets 6.0/10 for phone lines in both countries, email and a ticket system, minus store-credit-only refunds on returns, mixed Reddit reports on how claims are handled and almost no independent complaint record.

Seed Quality and Germination, Price and Value, and Website and UX each land at 5.5/10. The seed score reflects an 85% guarantee with tight conditions (90 days, paper towel only, one claim, shipping paid by you) and repeated Reddit reports of feminized seeds that grew like autos and of hermaphrodites next to satisfied long-term customers. Regular seeds are cheap, but feminized and auto seeds cost $11 to $14 each before a 7.5% card fee and the 2% handling fee. The website has good filters and detailed strain pages, but contradicts itself on where the company is based and how many strains it carries, and its FAQ is out of date.

Canuk Seeds is a long-running store with real phone support on both sides of the border, a large own-brand catalog, very affordable regular seeds and a memorable mix pack in the Canuk Puk. Free shipping above CA$165 makes it practical for Canadian and US buyers who place a decent-sized order.

The weak points are concrete. The 85% germination guarantee only works if you follow Canuk’s paper towel method, document it and claim within 90 days, and replacements cost you shipping. Card payments add 7.5% and every order adds 2%. Returns are refunded as store credit. And several growers on Reddit report feminized seeds that flowered like autos or turned hermaphrodite.
