Beaver Seeds Review 2026: Shipping, Prices and Guarantee

Beaver Seeds is an online seedbank with shipping points on both sides of the border: US orders leave from Los Angeles, Canadian orders from Vancouver. Its catalog lists more than 1,000 strains across feminized, autoflower, regular, high-CBD and fast-version seeds, all under its own label without saying who bred the seeds. Our verdict: a working store with domestic shipping in the US and Canada, plenty of payment options and an 80% germination guarantee, held back by strict guarantee conditions, an all-sales-final refund policy and website policies that contradict each other. We score it 6.0/10.

This review is based on Beaver Seeds’ published policies, current prices on beaverseed.com and independent customer feedback. All facts were checked on October 22, 2026.

Buying Beaver Seeds from the USA

The site banner says it plainly: “US orders ship from the US, Canadian orders ship from Canada.” According to the Beaver Seeds FAQ, US parcels go by USPS Priority from Los Angeles and typically arrive in 3 to 7 days. At checkout on October 22, 2026 (no order placed), a US address got three options: USPS Priority for $20, USPS Ground Advantage for $10 (3 to 14 days) and free pickup at 16836 Saticoy St in Van Nuys, available 8 AM to 7 PM with 3 to 4 hours of packing time. Orders over $200 ship free. Prices are in US dollars.

One thing to watch: the US checkout adds a line called “FED 5% Tax” to the order. On a $120 cart that was $6. In our test only cash removed the 5% line from the order total. The payment selector lists Bitcoin at the lower amount too, but selecting it still gave a $126 total, as did card, Zelle, Venmo, Cash App and MoneyGram. Check your final total before you pay.

Also note how Beaver Seeds itself frames the legal side. Its FAQ answers the question “Is purchasing seeds legal according to the law?” with “NO, according to the Farm Bill Act of 2018” and tells buyers to check their city and state laws. Its disclaimer page sells seeds as novelty or souvenir items and puts legal responsibility on the buyer. Read the legal note in the shipping section below before you order.

Who Is Behind Beaver Seeds?

The About page says BeaverSeed.com started in 2009 and ships “from multiple locations worldwide.” The site does not name a legal entity. The contact page lists a Canadian location at 651 E Hastings St in Vancouver and a US location, “Green Gardening”, at 16834 Saticoy St in Van Nuys, California. Cash payments go to “Kask Consulting” at 16836 Saticoy St in Van Nuys or to “Green Gardening” at #1146 Pacific Blvd in Vancouver.

Many buyers search whether Beaver Seeds and Crop King Seeds share an owner. Here is what the public record shows. A press release from distributor Vancoast Seeds (August 23, 2022) lists Crop King Seeds, Sonoma Seeds, Mary Jane’s Garden, Sunwest Genetics and Beaver Seeds as seedbanks it represents, and the Beaver Seeds FAQ sends would-be retailers to Vancoast Seeds’ registration page. Beaver Seeds’ affiliate page says its program, Green Affiliates, represents “7 different reputable cannabis seed companies,” including Beaver Seeds. The catalog also contains a free gift item called “Free Rocket Seeds Merchandise”. That points to a shared distribution and affiliate network. We found no public record that confirms common ownership, so treat claims either way with care.

Catalog and Seed Types

On October 22, 2026, beaverseed.com listed 1,054 products, about 11 of them free gift items (ten free-seed entries and Rocket Seeds merchandise) and one pre-rolled joint. In the store’s own categories, about 770 products sit under feminized, about 170 under autoflower, 39 under regular, 26 under high-CBD and 26 under fast version (categories overlap). Classics are well covered: Gorilla Glue, AK-47, White Widow, Northern Lights, Platinum OG, Cali Kush, Strawberry Diesel, Skywalker, Alaskan Thunder Fuck and a long list of Gelato and Cheese variants. Regular seeds include Jack Herer, Gumbo and Bubba God.

Strain pages show THC and CBD figures, difficulty, flowering time and the type of hybrid. What they do not show is who bred the seeds being sold: no product lists a breeder, and at most a description mentions a strain’s origin (the White Widow page credits Green House Seeds). The seeds are sold under the Beaver Seeds label only. Some growers value that simplicity; others want to know the original breeder before they buy. Prices and Pack Sizes

Almost every strain comes in 5, 10 and 25 seed packs, with one fixed price per seed type. These are the regular prices we saw on October 22, 2026:

At full price, feminized and autoflower seeds cost $12 to $13 a seed in the smaller packs, and only the 25-pack brings the per-seed price below $10. The picture changes with the current promotion: on October 22, 2026, checkout showed the banner “Buy any 10, or 25 seed pack and get another pack FREE” and applied it automatically, so a second feminized 10-pack or 25-pack came free (5-packs are not included). That brings 20 feminized seeds to $120, or $6.00 a seed, and two feminized 25-packs to $240, or $4.80 a seed. Promotions rotate, so check the cart before you count on it.

Canadian buyers see something unusual at checkout: with a Canadian address, the total switched to Canadian dollars using the same figures as the US prices. A $120 10-pack plus $20 Canada Post plus British Columbia GST and PST came to $154.40 CAD. Provincial sales tax is added at checkout (HST in Ontario).

Shipping by Region

United States. USPS Priority ($20, 3 to 7 days) or USPS Ground Advantage ($10, 3 to 14 days) from the Los Angeles area, free pickup in Van Nuys, and free shipping over $200. US parcels can be tracked through USPS. Checkout also has an optional box for signature on delivery.

Canada. Canada Post from Vancouver for $20, free over $200, with a quoted 3 to 7 days from dispatch. Tracking runs through Canada Post.

UK, Europe and Australia. Beaver Seeds ships internationally, but on stricter terms. Checkout quoted $40 for tracked shipping with an average of 7 to 25 days to the UK and Germany, the same $40 and 7 to 25 days to Australia and New Zealand, and free shipping over $200. The FAQ adds that orders outside Canada, the US and US territories need a $200 minimum or at least 20 seeds, that the buyer pays all taxes, duties and customs charges, that international orders cannot be refunded or exchanged, and that the 80% germination guarantee does not apply to them. International buyers can pay by Bitcoin, cash or international money order; foreign credit cards are not accepted, according to the FAQ.

Packaging and dispatch. US and Canadian orders ship in plain, unmarked packaging; international orders ship “discreetly without packaging,” in the FAQ’s words. The How to Order page says orders ship the same day full payment arrives. Beaver Seeds states it is not liable for loss or damage in transit and asks customers to file claims for lost or damaged parcels with USPS or Canada Post directly.

Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.

Germination Guarantee: The 80% Promise and Its Conditions

Beaver Seeds does offer a germination guarantee. The FAQ promises “an 80% germination rate for every package size when the germination instructions are strictly adhered to.” The conditions are among the strictest we have seen:

• You must use Beaver Seeds’ own method (the paper towel method in its germination guide: a 14 to 18 hour soak, then moist paper towels at around 80°F).
• Only bottled spring water counts. Germination with tap water, reverse osmosis, distilled water or well water is not accepted.
• Once the taproot appears, plant it in regular potting soil with no fertilizers and no nutrients.
• Seeds stored in bags, hidden in any way or germinated on a heating pad are excluded.
• One replacement per purchase, valid for up to two years after the purchase date if the seeds were stored properly.
• International orders are excluded.

The FAQ does not list the proof you need or a claim form. Its answer to “What should I do if my germination rates are lower than 80%?” is to contact the store to discuss your germination technique. Keep your order number, note the water you used and photograph each step. On seed quality itself, the site says its seeds are “inspected and selected carefully”; we could not verify that independently.

Payment Methods

The FAQ lists Canadian or American-issued Visa and Mastercard, Bitcoin, and cash or money orders; the How to Order page and homepage add Interac e-Transfer for Canadian customers. At checkout on October 22, 2026, card payments ran through Clover, and US addresses also got MoneyGram, Zelle, Venmo and Cash App. Canadian addresses got Interac e-Transfer and MoneyGram next to card, cash and Bitcoin. Bitcoin payments must be completed within 10 minutes, and the store asks you to send the transaction ID afterwards.

Two notes. The US 5% surcharge described above stayed on the order total for every US payment method except cash in our test. And an older How to Order page (last updated in 2021) still says card payments carry a 10% fee and offers extra seeds for paying cash; the checkout showed 5%, so go by the checkout. If a card payment is declined, the FAQ says it is retried for two weeks unless you cancel or choose another method.

Deals, Free Seeds and Discount Codes

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Beaver Seeds:

BOGO on 10- and 25-seed packs. On October 22, 2026, checkout automatically added a free pack for every 10- or 25-seed pack (not 5-packs). Two feminized 25-packs cost $240, or $4.80 a seed.

Free shipping. Orders over $200 ship free in the US, Canada and internationally.

Free seeds. According to the FAQ, you earn one free seed for a five-star rating and ten free seeds with orders over $420. The site’s Sales page carries current specials.

Coupon and discount codes. We found no published Beaver Seeds coupon code on the site on October 22, 2026. The site offers a newsletter sign-up for deals. Per the FAQ, coupons cannot be combined with an ongoing sale, so a code from a third-party coupon site will not stack with the BOGO deal. There is no points-based loyalty program.

Customer Service and Refunds

Beaver Seeds lists more contact channels than most seedbanks we review:

The site says support is available 24/7; that is the store’s own claim. The refund policy is strict. The FAQ states that all sales are final. Orders with a tracking number cannot be returned or exchanged; a refund minus shipping is possible only if the package comes back unopened and undamaged with a “returned to sender” status. The Terms of Service add that refunds or replacements “may be considered” for damaged or defective products. Lost parcels are a matter for the carrier, not the store. On public complaint handling there is little to go on: we found no Better Business Bureau profile for Beaver Seeds.

Reputation

Independent review data on Beaver Seeds is thin. On October 22, 2026:

• GrowDiaries lists 19 grow diaries from 17 growers using Beaver Seeds genetics and 11 reviews, with a seedbank score of 7.6.
• The SmartCustomer page for beaverseed.com (formerly Sitejabber) had no reviews.
• We found no BBB profile.
• SeedFinder lists “Beaver Seeds” as “offline”, but that entry refers to the old domain beaverseeds.ca and holds two user reviews from 2014 and 2016. The current store at beaverseed.com is active.

Reddit threads are few and old. In a January 2022 post on r/microgrowery, one user wrote that an order placed the day before had been seized; the post gives no further detail. In a March 2023 thread on r/cannabiscultivation about Rocket Seeds, Crop King and Beaver Seeds, one commenter claimed the three are “all the same brand” and criticized the quality, while another wrote that Beaver Seeds’ AK-47 seeds “were fire.” Most complaints in that thread were about the other brands. These are individual accounts we cannot verify, and they play only a small part in the score.

Product pages show on-site star ratings, such as 4.83 out of 5 from 23 ratings for the Gorilla Glue feminized. Those are collected and shown by Beaver Seeds itself, so give them less weight than an independent platform.

Website Experience

The store works: clear menus for each seed type, category filters for THC, CBD, flowering time, height and effects, plus an AI strain finder, product pages with growing data, and a checkout that shows shipping options and taxes per country before you pay. The weak spot is consistency. The age requirement is 18 at the age gate and in the disclaimer, 19 in the FAQ and 21 in the Terms of Service. The privacy policy refers to www.beaverseeds.com, not beaverseed.com. The How to Order page mentions a 10% card fee while checkout charges 5%. The About page still dates from 2020. The policies that matter (shipping, guarantee, refunds) are all collected in the FAQ, so read that page before you order.

Who Beaver Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

A good fit if you: live in the US or Canada and want domestic shipping in 3 to 7 days; want a large catalog of popular strains in fixed-price packs; want to pay by Zelle, Venmo, Cash App, Interac or Bitcoin; or can use the BOGO deal on 10- and 25-seed packs or reach the $200 free-shipping mark.

Look elsewhere if you: want a germination guarantee without conditions on water and method; want to know who bred the seeds you buy; live outside North America and want refunds or a guarantee; or want a flexible return policy.

Scoring Summary

Beaver Seeds scores 6.0/10 overall. Product Range is the strongest category at 7.0/10: more than 1,000 listings across every common seed type, held back by not saying who bred the seeds. Shipping and Delivery follows at 6.8/10, with domestic warehouses in Los Angeles and Vancouver, 3 to 7 day delivery and tracking, against a high $200 free-shipping threshold and tougher terms for international orders.

Price and Value lands at 6.0/10: full prices for feminized seeds are on the high side, and a 5% surcharge applies to every US payment method except cash, but the current BOGO deal and the free-seed rewards lower the real cost. Customer Service earns 5.8/10, with many contact channels offset by an all-sales-final policy. Seed Quality and Germination scores 5.5/10: there is an 80% guarantee, but with strict conditions, one replacement per purchase and no information on who bred the seeds. Website and UX is the weakest category at 5.0/10 because the site’s own policies contradict each other on age limits, fees and domain names.

Final Verdict

Beaver Seeds is an active seedbank with well documented policies. US orders ship from Los Angeles and Canadian orders from Vancouver, usually in 3 to 7 days, the catalog is large, and buyers get a wide choice of payment methods. The 80% germination guarantee exists, and the current BOGO deal on 10- and 25-seed packs makes feminized seeds competitively priced.

The gaps are concrete. The guarantee only holds if you germinate with bottled spring water using the store’s method, and only once per purchase. All sales are final, every US payment method except cash carries a 5% surcharge, the breeder of the seeds is not disclosed, and the site’s policies disagree with each other in places. Ownership is not disclosed, although the brand clearly sits in the same distribution network as Crop King Seeds and several others.
