Elev8 Seeds is an American cannabis seed breeder, established in 2014 and operated by Elev8 Inc. It sells its own crosses (GG#4 crosses and the Nerds Rope, Zushi Shop and Lemon Tree series), S1 seeds of well-known clone-only cuts and variety packs directly to US customers and ships every order by UPS or USPS within the United States. Our verdict: a genuine breeder with distinctive, flavor-driven strains and fast domestic shipping, held back by premium pack prices, no written germination guarantee and recurring hermaphrodite reports from growers. We score it 6.0/10.

This review is based on Elev8 Seeds’ published policies, current prices and shipping rates on its US store, and independent customer feedback. All facts were checked on October 22, 2026.

Buying Elev8 Seeds from the USA

Elev8 Seeds is built for US buyers. Its FAQ states that elev8seeds.com ships only to the USA, and on October 22, 2026 the store’s checkout returned shipping rates for every US state we tested (Washington, California, Idaho, Texas, Florida, New York, Hawaii and Alaska), with no state excluded from the address form. So yes, Elev8 ships to New York: our test cart showed UPS Ground for $13.

Two things to know before you order. First, every page footer states that “all items sold on this website are sold for novelty and/or souvenir purposes only and are not intended for germination”, and the site asks visitors to confirm they are 21 or older. Second, all sales are final: according to the refund and returns policy, Elev8 has not accepted returns or exchanges since May 14, 2020, except for damaged or defective items reported to [email protected]. The legal note in the shipping section below applies as well: a US address on the shipping list does not make growing legal in every state.

Who Elev8 Seeds Is

Elev8 Seeds describes itself as “Est 2014” and as a curator of “elite cannabis genetics”. The Our Story page says the team spent years building relationships with breeders and growers, compared strains side by side with large medical growers and only keeps strains it considers “keepers”. It names Matt as the breeder behind many of the crosses and says Elev8 focuses on preserving elite clone-only strains in seed form through backcrossing and selection. The company’s store managers also reply to reviews on the site and to threads on Reddit under the name Elev8seedsUSA.

The company behind the store is Elev8 Inc, according to the Terms and Conditions. Its address has changed: in April 2026 the footer listed 3400 Harbor Ave SW in Seattle, Washington, while the current footer lists 4744 Liberty Rd. S in Salem, Oregon. The FAQ still tells buyers to mail checks to the Seattle address, so confirm the address in your order email before you post a payment. We could not confirm the company’s registration in a state business register.

Elev8 also sells wholesale to stores and lists authorized distributors on its distributors page, which matters if you live outside the US (see below).

Catalog and Seed Types

On October 22, 2026 the “All Strains” category held 92 products, of which 56 were in stock. Of those 92, 84 are feminized, 4 are regular, 2 are feminized autoflowers (Alien Otto and Shadow OG) and 2 variety packs list no seed type. Another 148 products sit in the “Retired” category. We found no CBD strains in the current catalog. SeedFinder’s Elev8 breeder page lists 239 Elev8 strains over the years, which shows how often the line-up rotates.

Most of the catalog is Elev8’s own crosses, organized in series built around a few parents: GG#4 crosses (Gorilla Cookies, King Payton, Prime8 Fuel and the 2026 “Glues Brothers” releases Magnolia Motel, Sticky Suits, Elwoods Funk and Chemical Soul), Blue Zushi crosses (The Zushi Shop series), Lemon Tree crosses, Nerds Rope crosses, and Apples and Bananas crosses such as Yodanana and Frosty Bananas. Seven S1 strains are listed, which are S1 seeds of well-known clone-only cuts such as Permanent Marker, Lemon Tree and Bacio Gelato (two were in stock on October 22: Lemon Tree S1 and Bacio Gelato S1); if you are after those parents, see our strain pages for Permanent Marker and Gary Payton. Most variety packs hold 6 feminized seeds, 2 each of three strains (for example the Nerds Rope Variety Pack: Rope Burn, High Wired and Knotty Fruit); the Glues Brothers pack holds 8 and the Regul8ors pack 12 regular seeds.

Every strain page lists the parents, flowering time and yield class. Elev8 says Jungleberry Haze (Acai Cake x Apples and Bananas) won Best Indoor Plant at the Aloha Cup 2025, according to a store reply on its product page; we could not confirm the award independently.

People searching for the “best” Elev8 strain will find that the on-site ratings mostly cluster near 5 stars on small numbers of reviews. The most-reviewed strain, Gorilla Cookies (GG#4 x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies), averaged 4.75 from 33 ratings on October 22, 2026, while Lemon Tree S1 averaged 3.83 from 6. Prices and Pack Sizes

Elev8 sells one pack size per strain: feminized packs contain 6 seeds and regular packs 12 seeds. Packs come in four price tiers ($45, $60, $75 and $89). These are the prices we saw on October 22, 2026:

So feminized seeds cost $7.50 to $14.83 each at regular prices, and the few regular lines work out at $5.00 to $6.25 a seed. The $89 tier is the largest (56 of the 92 products) and includes the GG#4, Zushi and S1 lines that Elev8 is best known for. That is expensive next to mainstream seedbanks, where 5 or 10 seed packs often cost less per seed. During the Croptober 2026 sale, which runs through October 31, 2026, while stocks last, every $89 pack was 25% off ($66.75), and the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer applied to the cheaper tiers: three $45 packs cost $90, or $5.00 a seed. In our test cart, the cheapest pack in a qualifying set of three was discounted automatically.

Shipping by Region

United States. We added products to a cart on the US store on October 22, 2026 and requested rates for several addresses. Standard Shipping by UPS Ground cost $6 to Washington and Idaho, $7 to California, $8 to Florida, $10 to Texas and $13 to New York. Hawaii and Alaska were quoted USPS Priority Mail at $12. Orders of $180 or more after discounts qualified for free standard shipping (our $200.25 cart did, a $120 cart did not, and four $45 packs reduced to $135 by Buy 2 Get 1 Free did not either). The site says free shipping offers apply to the US mainland only, although our cart test also showed free shipping for Hawaii and Alaska.

The FAQ and the checkout’s shipping disclosures describe three services: Standard (UPS Ground, shipped the next working day after payment), Priority (UPS 2nd Day Air, shipped the same or next working day if paid before 12 noon Pacific) and Express (UPS Next Day Air, shipped the same day if paid before 12 noon Pacific). Two Day and Next Day exclude weekends and holidays. Our cart test only returned Standard rates, so check checkout for Priority and Express prices. Locations UPS does not serve (Hawaii, Alaska and PO boxes) may be switched to USPS. You get a UPS or USPS tracking number by email, and you can follow the order in your account or with a guest order lookup. For orders paid by mailed cash, check or money order, Elev8 aims to ship within 3 business days after payment arrives, according to the checkout. We found no information on stealth or discreet packaging on the site. Apparel ships separately from a third-party supplier.

The checkout disclosures also say that automatic free shipping “when purchasing a bundle or 3 packs or more” goes out by Priority Shipping, which is a leftover from the earlier “3+ packs” rule; the current banner and our cart test both point to the $180 threshold.

Canada, the UK, Europe and Australia. Elev8 does not ship there from elev8seeds.com: our cart test returned no shipping option for Canada, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands or Australia. The FAQ sends international buyers to eu.elev8seeds.com, but on October 22, 2026 that store showed “We’re not taking orders right now”. The authorized distributors page (last updated in August 2025) lists stockists by region: Alchimia, Neptune Seed Bank, The Green Brand and United Seed Bank for Europe, and Cloud Creek Seeds for Australia. Availability and prices at those shops are their own, so check stock there. We list no stockist for Canada because the page lists none. If you buy through a distributor, Elev8’s customer service form says germination problems go to that store, not to Elev8.

Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.

Germination Guarantee: What Elev8 Actually Offers

Elev8 does not publish a germination guarantee with a percentage, a claim window or exclusions. The site banner says “Ask about our seed guarantee”, and the FAQ tells you to email [email protected] or use the customer service form if you have problems with seeds you bought directly from Elev8. That form asks for your order number, the strain, how many seeds you started and how many sprouted, whether you read Elev8’s germination tips, whether you used a heat mat or a dome, your germination method, how you stored the seeds, and up to five photos. Seeds bought from a distributor have to be handled by that store.

How claims are handled in practice can be seen in public replies on the reviews page. In October 2026, store managers offered replacement packs to two customers who reported failed germination, while stating that Elev8 “typically” does not honor its germination guarantee when its instructions are not followed, in particular the advice not to use a heat mat. Some customers on Reddit report receiving refunds or replacement seeds for seeds that did not germinate (see Reputation). The outcome depends on Elev8’s review, so follow its germination tips, keep your order number and photograph every step. We found no lab results or certificates of analysis on the site.

Payment Methods

On October 22, 2026 the checkout offered three payment options:

• Card through the NMI gateway. The FAQ lists Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express and Diners.
• Bitcoin through a Blockonomics checkout page, where you have 30 minutes to complete the payment. The FAQ notes you can buy and send bitcoin from an app such as Cash App.
• Cash, check or money order by mail, payable in US dollars to Elev8 Inc with your order number. Personal checks are verified before shipping. If payment has not arrived within 10 business days you get a reminder, and the order is canceled after another 10 days.

One inconsistency: a “payment disclosure” at checkout says orders are paid by “check/money order/cash/digital currency”, although card payment is clearly offered. We found no card surcharge or crypto discount.

Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Elev8 Seeds:

Current sale. The Croptober 2026 sale, which runs through October 31, 2026, while stocks last, takes 25% off every $89 pack ($66.75) and offers Buy 2 Get 1 Free on the $45, $60 and $75 packs, plus 10% off apparel.

Free seeds. Orders over $100 get 3 free seeds. Signing up for the mailing list gives a one-time code for free seeds on your first order.

Coupon codes. We found no public coupon code on the site on October 22, 2026; the only code Elev8 advertises is the one sent after newsletter sign-up. Treat codes on third-party coupon sites with caution. Note that a free shipping coupon ships by Standard (UPS Ground), according to the checkout disclosures.

Loyalty. We found no points or rewards program on the site. Elev8 runs a monthly photo competition on its Discord, with prizes for the top three entries.

Wholesale. Retailers can apply for a wholesale account through a form on the homepage.

The FAQ describes a “small friendly team” and asks for patience because of high volumes of enquiries; no response time is published. On the positive side, store managers answer reviews publicly on the site, including negative ones, and Elev8 replies in Reddit threads about its seeds. On the negative side, one Reddit user wrote in April 2025 that the phone line referred them to email and that card payments kept being declined, and another wrote in March 2025 that he was still waiting for a reply to his refund request (both in threads linked below). We found no Better Business Bureau profile for Elev8 Seeds, and its SmartCustomer page had no reviews on October 22, 2026, so there is no independent complaint record to check.

Reputation

Independent platforms. Data is thin. We found no BBB profile, and SmartCustomer showed 0 reviews (checked October 22, 2026). On SeedFinder, three Elev8 strains have user reviews, with an average strain rating of 7.6 out of 10; these rate strains, not the shop.

On-site reviews. The homepage showed a 4.91 store rating from 831 reviews and the reviews page 4.9 from 836 (October 22, 2026). Elev8 collects and displays these itself, so give them less weight than an independent platform. The banner text “Rated 5* by 1000’s of Customers” is not backed by those figures.

Reddit and forums. Growers’ opinions are split, and the most common complaint is hermaphrodite plants from feminized seeds. These threads are representative:

• r/microgrowery, December 2022: early replies praise yields and flavor; later comments (December 2023 and January 2024) report hermaphrodite plants, while an August 2024 comment says the grower got a refund for seeds that did not germinate two years in a row. Elev8 replied in the thread in December 2023 about how it works to limit herms in feminized seeds.

Forum reports are individual experiences we cannot verify, and growing conditions vary a lot. But the herm theme appears across several years and threads, which is why it weighs on the seed quality score.

Website Experience

The store is easy to browse: categories by series, seed type, price tier, S1 strains, variety packs and recent releases, plus lineage, flowering time and customer reviews on every strain page. The weak spot is consistency. The FAQ still lists a Seattle mailing address while the footer shows Salem, Oregon. The FAQ links to a European store that is not taking orders. The checkout text still mentions free shipping for “3 packs or more” and payment by “check/money order/cash/digital currency”, while the banner, the cart and the payment step say otherwise. The Payment page is empty, and the homepage phone number is labeled toll free although 206 is a Seattle area code. When answers conflict, go by what the cart and checkout show.

Who Elev8 Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

A good fit if you: live in the US and want Elev8’s own crosses, such as the GG#4 crosses or the Zushi Shop line, or S1 seeds of well-known clone-only cuts; like hunting phenotypes and know how to spot and remove an intersex plant early; and want fast UPS shipping with tracking, ideally with an order over $180 for free shipping or during a sale. Experienced growers who keep an eye on trichomes and VPD will get the most out of these lines.

Look elsewhere if you: live outside the US; want a written germination guarantee with fixed terms; are a first-time grower who wants cheap, forgiving seeds; want autoflowers or CBD strains (the range is almost all feminized photoperiod seeds); or need the option to return an order.

Elev8 Seeds scores 6.0/10 overall. Product Range is the strongest category at 7.0/10: a large, frequently refreshed list of its own crosses, S1 seeds and variety packs with clear lineages, held back by a catalog that is almost entirely feminized photoperiods, with two autoflowers and no CBD strains. Shipping and Delivery, Customer Service and Price and Value each land at 6.0/10. Shipping is fast and tracked within the US, with UPS Ground from $6 to $13 and free shipping from $180, but there is no international shipping and the European store is not taking orders (checked Oct 22, 2026). Customer service offers several channels and public replies to complaints, with mixed reports on response times. Prices are premium at up to $14.83 per feminized seed, softened by frequent sales and free seeds over $100.

Seed Quality and Germination scores 5.5/10: a long-running breeder with distinctive genetics, offset by hermaphrodite reports across several years and a germination policy without written terms. Website and UX also scores 5.5/10 because the FAQ, checkout text, banners and footer contradict each other on address, free shipping and payment.

Final Verdict

Elev8 Seeds is a legitimate US breeder with more than a decade of history, a catalog of its own crosses, and fast tracked shipping to every US state. If you want GG#4, Zushi or Nerds Rope crosses straight from the breeder, this is the place, and the Croptober sale and free seeds over $100 take some of the sting out of $89 packs.

The gaps are concrete. There is no written germination guarantee, all sales are final, the store does not ship outside the US, and hermaphrodite reports from growers keep coming up. The site’s own pages also disagree on basics such as the company address and the free shipping rule.
