London Seed Centre Review 2026: Shipping, Prices and Shop

London Seed Centre (LSC) is a cannabis seed retailer and headshop in north-west London. It opened its first shop in 1998, went online in 2002 and today sells seeds from about 190 breeders, plus CBD products and smoking accessories, from a store on Adrian Avenue (NW2). Our verdict: a long-running, legitimate multi-breeder shop with a huge catalog, free seeds on every order and, according to its homepage banner, free delivery to the UK and the US over £50, held back by the absence of any germination guarantee and a no-refund policy on seeds. We score it 7.4/10.

This review is based on London Seed Centre’s published policies, current prices and promotions on its US, Canadian and European storefronts, and independent customer feedback. All facts were checked on October 22, 2026. Where a page could not be loaded live, we used the most recent archived copy and give its date.

Buying from London Seed Centre in the USA

LSC runs separate storefronts with prices in US dollars, Canadian dollars, euros, Australian dollars, New Zealand dollars and pounds. Visitors from the US are routed to the USD storefront at londonseedcentre.co.uk/usa/. Every order still ships from London: there is no US warehouse.

The homepage banner offers free delivery in secure packaging on UK and US orders over £50; the delivery tab on product pages does not mention a free-shipping threshold for the US, so confirm it at checkout. International parcels go by Royal Mail International Tracked, with a quoted 5 to 15 working days to destinations outside Europe, counted from dispatch. LSC does not publish the US shipping fee for orders under £50, so check it at checkout. Its legal disclaimer makes clear that researching the laws of your country before you order is your responsibility.

Who London Seed Centre Is

According to its About page, LSC opened its first retail store in North London in 1998, launched its online store in 2002 and moved into its current 3,000 sq ft premises in 2010. It calls itself “one of the oldest established cannabis seed retailers in the world”. The company named on the site is LSC Sales Ltd, company number 8432553. Companies House lists LSC SALES LIMITED (08432553) as an active private company, incorporated on March 6, 2013, with “retail sale via mail order” as its business. The trading history is older than the current company.

The physical shop at 9 Adrian Avenue, London NW2 1LX, is still part of the business. The site footer gives opening hours of Monday to Friday 10am to 4pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm; the contact page and the About page give Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturday 11am to 4pm, with Sunday closed. Call ahead if you plan to visit. Product pages offer a “Collect In-Store?” option, and several SeedFinder reviewers describe buying in person at the shop.

LSC sells seeds as “adult souvenirs” and for genetic preservation. In the UK it is legal to buy and own cannabis seeds, but growing cannabis without a Home Office licence is an offence under section 6 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. LSC’s own pages repeat that germination is illegal in the UK.

Catalog and Seed Types

The catalog is the main reason to shop here. On October 10, 2026, the A to Z brand menu listed about 190 seed brands, from big names such as Barney’s Farm, Dutch Passion, Green House Seeds, Dinafem, DNA Genetics, Royal Queen Seeds, Sensi Seeds and Fast Buds to boutique and US breeders such as Archive Seedbank, Compound Genetics, Night Owl Seeds, ONI Seed Co, Brothers Grimm Seeds, Humboldt Seed Company and Symbiotic Genetics. LSC itself claims “over 3,000 strains” and “over 100,000 seeds in stock” on its About page; we could not verify those counts.

You will find feminized, autoflower and regular seeds, medicinal (high CBD) strains, cup winners and mix packs. The Barney's Farm range alone held 120 products on the US store in April 2026, most of them feminized and 29 autoflowering, including Gorilla Zkittlez, Gorilla Glue Auto, Wedding Cake, Acapulco Gold and Amnesia Haze Auto. Many listings offer pack sizes of 1, 3, 5, 10 and 25 seeds, so you can buy a single seed of strains that breeders only sell in larger packs. Next to seeds, LSC runs a large headshop (bongs, vaporizers, grinders, papers, stash products) and a CBD shop. Product pages show a strain profile with breeder, genetics, flowering time, THC level, yield, height and growing environment, plus customer ratings. They do not include lab data.

Prices and Pack Sizes

LSC shows a “from” price on each listing, which is the cheapest pack option. The full price per pack size only appears once you select it, and we could not load live product pages for a full price table. These are the starting prices we could verify:

Treat these as entry points, not a per-seed comparison: because LSC sells single seeds, the “from” price is often the cost of one seed. Larger packs bring the price per seed down, but LSC does not publish the pack prices in a table. Prices also move with promotions: in October 2026 the site advertised “up to 50% off” October discounts on selected seeds, and a “Mystery Fem Bonus Seed” or “Mystery Auto Bonus Seed” could be added for CA$9.43 on the Canadian store.

Returns are limited. The returns policy on product pages says refunds are not available on seeds; you can exchange an unwanted item or get store credit within 7 days, but only if the breeder packet is still sealed. Damaged or faulty items must be reported within 14 days for a replacement or refund. The general terms and conditions describe a more generous 7-day refund of the item cost, so ask LSC which policy applies before you send anything back.

Shipping by Region

United Kingdom. The homepage banner promises free delivery on UK orders over £50. The delivery tab on product pages (archived March 2026 and still the same on October 10, 2026) lists Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2 to 5 working days from dispatch, £5, free over £75), Royal Mail Tracked 24 (1 to 2 working days, £6, or £2 over £75) and Special Delivery Guaranteed Next Working Day for a flat £12. The free-delivery threshold differs between the banner (£50) and the delivery tab (£75), so check it at checkout. LSC aims to dispatch Special Delivery orders placed before 10am on the same working day, but says all orders are subject to processing of up to two working days.

United States. Free delivery over £50 according to the homepage banner, shipped from London by Royal Mail International Tracked, 5 to 15 working days from dispatch. See the US section above.

Europe. Royal Mail International Tracked, 3 to 10 working days from dispatch. Shipping fees are shown at checkout.

Canada, Australia and the rest of the world. LSC says it ships worldwide, runs Canadian and Australian dollar storefronts and quotes 5 to 15 working days outside Europe. We found no list of excluded countries, but we could not test checkout, and seed import rules differ by country. Importing cannabis seeds into Canada is prohibited without authorization under the Cannabis Act, and Australia restricts cannabis imports to permit holders. Check your national customs rules before you order.

Packaging and stealth. LSC says UK orders go out in crush-proof, plain packaging, and international orders in discreet packaging. Product pages also list stealth options such as greeting cards, sealed DVDs, Secret Storage Books and Lego Friends sets. With card or DVD stealth, seeds may be taken out of their breeder packets to fit.

Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.

Germination Guarantee: There Is None

London Seed Centre does not offer a germination guarantee. Its terms and conditions guarantee that seeds are fresh and genuine and that you will receive them in perfect condition, but state that LSC “cannot guarantee that the seeds” will all germinate, calling it “risk that you must be prepared to take”. The same terms say questions about germination or cultivation will go unanswered.

Its help center answer on germination problems (archived April 2025) repeats that germinating cannabis seeds without a licence is illegal in the UK and points customers who are legally allowed to germinate to LSC’s YouTube channel and Discord server. What LSC does cover: items that arrive damaged or faulty, reported within 14 days, and exchanges of sealed packets within 7 days. If a fixed germination guarantee matters to you, this shop is not the right fit.

Payment Methods

LSC’s payment FAQ lists Visa and Mastercard for customers in the UK, EU, USA and Canada, plus bank transfer, cryptocurrency and cash sent by post. The site footer says Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are accepted and that card payments go through 3D Secure verification. The terms add that postal orders can be paid in cash (pounds, euros or US dollars, by registered and trackable post) or, from the UK only, by postal order, money order or banker’s draft made payable to LSC Sales Ltd. International money orders and cheques from non-UK banks are not accepted. We found no PayPal option.

Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at London Seed Centre:

Current sale. October discounts of up to 50% on selected seeds, plus extra bonus seeds with some popular strains, and a separate headshop promotions section.

Free seeds on every order. LSC promises at least one free seed with every order, with more free seeds as the order value rises. Free strains depend on stock and may be swapped for similar ones.

Seed Chips. LSC’s Seed Chips program pays 5 chips per £2 spent (excluding shipping), and 100 chips are worth £1, which works out to 2.5% back. You also earn 100 chips for registering, 100 for subscribing to the newsletter, 25 per approved product review (plus 100 for adding photos), small amounts for social shares and 350 when a referred friend places a first order. Chips can be spent on products or shipping and combined with free seeds and seasonal deals, but cannot be exchanged for cash. You need an account to earn them; guest checkout is available but earns nothing. We found no expiry date on the program page.

Monthly giveaway. Entry is free; in October 2026 the giveaway offered 10 winners a bag of seeds, LSC stickers and 250 Seed Chips.

Discount codes. We found no public discount code on LSC’s own pages on October 22, 2026. Third-party coupon sites list London Seed Centre codes, but we could not verify any of them, so the safest route to a discount is the sale section, the newsletter and Seed Chips.

LSC does not publish a reply time. Two limits are worth knowing: it will not answer questions about germination or growing, and it does not refund seeds (sealed exchanges only). On complaint handling, Reviews.io shows a steady stream of recent reviews, and we saw no public replies from LSC on the most recent ones.

Reputation

The largest independent review base is on Reviews.io: 4.6 out of 5 (4.56) from 2,695 reviews, with 88% of reviewers recommending the shop (checked October 22, 2026). Recent reviews mostly praise fast delivery, the selection and the free seeds; one reviewer found the website awkward to use. The negative reviews in October 2026 are mainly about seeds that did not germinate, which matters more here because LSC offers no germination guarantee.

On SeedFinder, London Seed Centre is listed as “green” (recommended), with a General Impression score of 9.15 out of 10 from 38 user reviews. Most of those reviews date from 2018, so they say little about the shop today. Its SmartCustomer page had no reviews on October 22, 2026.

Forum mentions are older and mixed:

• RollItUp, April 2018: one member reported that seeds shown as in stock were not actually available; the original poster later wrote that the order arrived within two days with extra free seeds.

The Magento-based store has strong filters: sex, pack size, genetics, flowering time, yield, height, THC and CBD level, cup winners and more. Currency switching, guest checkout and a strain finder help. The weak points are consistency and access. The free-delivery threshold (£50 on the homepage, £75 in the delivery tab), shop hours (10am to 4pm in the footer, 10am to 6pm on the contact and About pages) and the refund rules (terms versus returns tab) all differ between pages. The About page also says “Central London” for an NW2 address. A security check sometimes blocks the site before it loads.

Who London Seed Centre Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

A good fit if you: live in the UK and want fast, tracked delivery or to collect in person in London; want rare or boutique breeders and single seeds in one order; or buy regularly and will use free seeds and Seed Chips. US buyers who spend over £50 also get free shipping from London, according to the homepage banner.

Price and Value lands at 7.5/10 thanks to free seeds on every order, Seed Chips worth 2.5% back and regular sales, but LSC does not publish pack prices in a way that makes comparison easy. Seed Quality and Germination is the weakest category at 6.5/10: the seeds come in original breeder packs from established breeders, but there is no germination guarantee and recent reviews include germination complaints.
