Discount Cannabis Seeds (DCS) is a UK online seed shop that resells packs from around 144 breeders and sells its own bulk packs of 50 and 100 seeds. It ships from the UK to British addresses, 28 other European countries, the US, Canada and Thailand, takes Visa, Mastercard and bank transfer, and gives free seeds with every order. Our verdict: a long-running budget shop with some of the lowest per-seed prices we have seen, held back by no germination guarantee, unpublished shipping costs and policy pages that contradict each other. We score it 6.5/10.
This review is based on Discount Cannabis Seeds’ published policies, current prices on its website and independent customer feedback on Google and SeedFinder. All facts were checked on October 22, 2026.

Buying from Discount Cannabis Seeds in the USA
DCS is a UK shop, but its terms and conditions list the USA and Canada as delivery countries. US and Canadian orders go out by Royal Mail International Tracked, with a stated aim of delivery in 7 to 10 working days. Outside the UK, seeds are packed in a CD case inside a small plain padded envelope. US buyers can pay by Visa or Mastercard (Discover is not accepted), and the charge shows on your statement as “Discount Gifts”.
Two points matter more for US buyers than for UK ones. First, the shipping price is not published anywhere on the site, so you only see it at checkout. Second, the terms say that if customs detains and destroys a parcel, DCS will not refund or resend the order. There is no stealth reship guarantee. Read the legal note in the shipping section below before you order.
Who Discount Cannabis Seeds Is
The site describes DCS as “the UK’s best value cannabis seeds store since 2010”. We could not confirm the start date independently, but customer reviews on SeedFinder go back to March 2016. The contact page gives an office address at 49 Station Road, Polegate, East Sussex, and stresses that the business is online only: no seeds are sold at that address. The terms list VAT number 268291767, but neither the website nor its legal page names a company, owner or director, and we found no matching limited company at Companies House. The named contacts are “Johnny” (the email address on the site) and “Molly” (customer service).
DCS says it is certified by CannaPro, which it describes as the UK cannabis industry’s trade association. We found no independent confirmation of the body or the certification.
Like other UK seed shops, DCS sells seeds as souvenirs. Its terms state that UK law only allows seeds to be sold for souvenir and collection purposes and that germinating them without a Home Office licence is illegal in the UK. That legal position is also the reason it gives for not offering a germination guarantee (see below).
Catalog and Seed Types
The range is wide. The seed bank list had 150 entries on October 22, 2026, of which about 144 are actual breeders (the rest are DCS itself, bulk and deal categories, and seed-type labels). They include Barney’s Farm, Fast Buds, Dutch Passion, Dinafem, Humboldt Seed Company, Sweet Seeds, Kannabia, Ripper Seeds, Mephisto Genetics and many smaller brands. The homepage claims “100+ trusted seed banks” and “over 4,000” strains.
You can shop by feminized, regular, autoflower and medical seeds, and by trait: strongest THC, fast flowering, high CBD, high CBG, XXL yields, outdoor, short strains and strain families such as Gelato, Runtz, Zkittlez and Gorilla. The autoflower side is especially deep, both in breeder packs and in the bulk range, which includes Auto Northern Lights, Auto Gelato, Auto Wedding Cake and dozens more. If you are still choosing a seed type, our guide to feminized vs autoflower vs regular seeds covers the trade-offs.
The bulk line is what sets DCS apart. The bulk category spans seven listing pages of 50 and 100 seed packs, most of them unbranded. The site says bulk seeds are “sourced from trusted breeders” and, on its house-brand page, that DCS buys strains in bulk and packages them in affordable pack sizes, but most bulk listings do not name the breeder. If knowing the exact breeder matters to you, buy a branded breeder pack instead.
Prices and Pack Sizes
Breeder packs come in the breeder’s usual sizes (typically 1, 3, 5 and 10 seeds), DCS’s own strains in 1, 5, 10 and 15 seed packs, and bulk seeds in 50 or 100 seed packs. The site shows a “from” price per product; these are the listed prices on October 22, 2026:
| Product | Pack | Listed price | Per seed |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stardawg feminized bulk | 100 seeds | £100.00 | £1.00 |
| Gorilla Zkittlez feminized bulk | 50 seeds | £60.00 | £1.20 |
| Most 100-seed bulk packs (e.g. Auto Gelato, Amnesia Haze) | 100 seeds | £152.25 | about £1.52 |
| Triploid bulk (e.g. Amnesia Triploid) | 100 seeds | £194.25 | about £1.94 |
| Auto Gorilla Cookies (DCS, buy one get one free) | 1 to 15 seeds | from £6.28 | about £3.14 with the free seed |
| Gorilla Zkittlez (Barney’s Farm) | 1, 3, 5 or 10 seeds | from £10.23 | Not listed per pack |
| London Poundcake F1 (Barney’s Farm) | 3, 5 or 10 seeds | from £39.60 | about £13.20 in the 3-pack |
So the shop’s name is earned mainly in bulk: £1.00 to £1.94 a seed for 50 and 100 seed packs is far below normal breeder-pack pricing. Branded packs cost roughly what you would expect from those breeders. Prices for the larger breeder packs only appear once you pick a pack size, so compare at that step. The listed prices do not include the 20% sitewide offer running in October 2026; DCS says in its Google Business posts that it is taken off at checkout. With it, a £100 Stardawg pack comes to £80 (£0.80 a seed) and a £152.25 bulk pack to £121.80.
One listing to read carefully: the “Exclusive bulk deal, 800 seeds for £800” is listed at £1,000. DCS says £200 comes off at checkout, bringing it to the advertised £800. Check the price in your basket.
Shipping by Region
All orders ship from the UK by Royal Mail, according to the delivery section of the terms. The site does not publish shipping prices or a free-shipping threshold; the cost appears at checkout.
United Kingdom. Royal Mail Tracked 48, aiming for delivery in 2 to 3 days, tracked to the door with a photo on delivery. You get a dispatch email. Order comments asking to skip a signature are ignored, and Royal Mail’s delivery confirmation is treated as final. The FAQ, under a “Next Day Delivery” heading, promises dispatch the following business day for orders placed before 3 pm (Monday to Friday) and mentions optional insured shipping.
Europe. Royal Mail International Tracked, with a guide time of 3 to 5 working days. The terms list 29 countries, the UK included: Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and the UK. DCS asks you to check that your country allows you to buy cannabis seeds.
US, Canada and rest of world. Royal Mail International Tracked, with an aim of 7 to 10 working days. The terms name the USA, Canada and Thailand and add “various countries around the world” without a full list. Australia is not mentioned, so ask DCS before ordering from there.
Packaging. Orders go out in a small plain padded envelope (16 by 12 cm) with no DCS name or logo. For orders outside the UK, seeds are taken out of the breeder packaging and placed in a CD case (see below). If customs seizes and destroys a parcel, the terms say DCS cannot refund or resend.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Germination Guarantee: There Isn’t One
This is the question most people search for, and the answer is no. The terms and conditions say that because UK law only allows seeds to be sold as souvenirs, it “would also be illegal for us to replace seeds that fail to germinate”, and that until the law changes DCS cannot guarantee that seeds will germinate or give any germination rate. The terms also say there is no guarantee that feminized seeds will be 100% female. DCS says its seeds are tested for germination and genetics, but that is not a promise to you.
Be aware that the FAQ page contradicts this. One of its answers says DCS guarantees germination when proper methods are followed and will replace failed seeds at no cost, provided they were stored and handled according to its guidelines. The terms are the binding document, and a SeedFinder reviewer in 2018 quoted DCS replying that it is “unable to provide any guarantee”. If you are counting on a replacement, get it confirmed in writing before you buy.
Packaging works differently depending on where you live. The site says in several places that seeds are sold in the breeder’s original packaging. For orders outside the UK, however, the terms say seeds are taken out of the breeder packaging and placed in a CD case (European orders get some of the breeder packaging with them). The terms do not say this for UK orders, and the UK returns clause asks customers not to open the breeder packaging. A SeedFinder reviewer reported in July 2024 that a $500 order arrived with the seeds removed from their breeder packs, which matches the terms for orders outside the UK.
Returns
The terms allow returns of unopened seeds: tell DCS within 7 days of delivery, then send the goods back within a further 7 days, unopened (DCS recommends a tracked, signed-for service). Shipping costs are not refunded unless the item is faulty, and claims for missing seeds or packing errors must be made within 5 working days of receipt. The FAQ, however, says returns are not accepted once a package has shipped. Again, the terms are the document to rely on.
Payment Methods
According to the payment section of the terms, DCS accepts only two methods:
- Credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard) online, for customers in the UK, Europe, the US, Canada and Thailand. Discover is not accepted for US customers.
- Bank transfer, which is the only option for all other countries.
There is no PayPal, cryptocurrency or cash option. Card statements show the purchase as “Discount Gifts”.
Deals, Free Seeds and Discount Codes
As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Discount Cannabis Seeds:
Sitewide offer. The homepage advertised 20% off everything, “automatically applied”, and DCS says it comes off at checkout rather than in the listed prices. The FAQ mentions the code HALLOWEED for the same 20%. If the discount does not appear at checkout, try the code.
Halloween gift. Until Halloween 2026, every order includes 3 free Fast Buds Gorilla Zkittlez Auto seeds, according to the homepage.
Buy one, get one free. DCS’s own strains run BOGOF deals: on Auto Gorilla Cookies, for example, a 1, 5, 10 or 15 seed pack gets the same number of seeds free. The free seeds are the same strain and offers cannot be mixed and matched.
Breeder promotions. The homepage banner promised 1, 2 or 3 free seeds with Barney’s Farm 3, 5 and 10 packs, while DCS’s October post on Google described a free pack of the same size; check your basket. Double Seeds products were 10% off.
Free seeds on every order. The free seeds page gives 1 free seed on orders up to £30, 2 between £30 and £60 and 3 over £60, chosen at checkout and with no code needed. Free seeds are subject to availability and are feminized or auto, never regular.
No loyalty or points program is advertised. Older coupon lists on Reddit include codes that DCS posted itself in 2023; codes rotate, so rely on the current offers on the site.
Customer Service
The contact page lists:
- WhatsApp: 07375 835081 (DCS asks you to include your name and order number)
- A contact form (name, email, subject, message)
- Email, shown on the site
- Office address: DCS, 49 Station Road, Polegate, East Sussex, BN26 6EA (no sales at the address)
- Social accounts on X, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube
No opening hours or response times are published. Public feedback on support is mixed but mostly positive. On SeedFinder, customer service averages 7.22/10, with reviewers praising fast replies and also reporting slow answers and refused germination claims. Among the Google reviews we read, one praises a named staff member for sorting out a problem quickly, while another describes being refused a free replacement after only 2 of 10 seeds germinated.
Reputation
Google. The Google Business Profile for Discount Cannabis Seeds at the Polegate address showed 4.6 out of 5 from 74 reviews on October 22, 2026 (Google Maps listing).
SeedFinder. The SeedFinder seedbank page had 45 user reviews with a General Impression of 7.37/10 (Product Quality 7.11, Delivery Speed 7.77, Customer Service 7.22), checked October 22, 2026. The most recent review is from October 2024. Delivery and price get the most praise. The complaints are mainly about germination: several reviewers, mostly between 2017 and 2022, reported low germination rates (some on bulk packs), while others reported close to every seed sprouting. As explained above, DCS does not replace failed seeds under its terms.
Reddit. Independent Reddit discussion is thin. In a January 27, 2025 thread on r/Autoflowers asking for the best UK vendor, one user recommended DCS for its variety. The mentions in an older r/cannabiscoupons code list are from the shop’s own account, which asked in June 2023 to have its codes added, so they are not customer feedback.
Other platforms. SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) had a single 2023 review that reads like promotional text, and we found no Reviews.io profile. The testimonials on the DCS website are on-site reviews selected by the shop.
Website and Usability
The site is easy to browse by breeder, seed type and trait, and the bulk section is well organized. The problems are with consistency. The FAQ promises a germination replacement that the terms rule out, and says returns are not accepted where the terms allow them. The site says seeds come in original breeder packs while the terms say orders outside the UK are repacked into CD cases. Shipping costs are not shown before checkout, pack prices only appear after you pick a size, and both the 20% offer and the 800-seed deal only show at checkout, so listing prices differ from the advertised prices. For a shop that sells mostly on price, that makes it harder than it should be to know what you will pay and what you are entitled to.
Who Discount Cannabis Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
A good fit if you: want large quantities at the lowest price per seed (bulk packs from £1.00 a seed); grow lots of autoflowers; want one basket with packs from around 144 breeders plus free seeds; or live in the UK and want tracked Royal Mail delivery in 2 to 3 days.
Look elsewhere if you: want a written germination guarantee or replacement policy; live outside the UK and want seeds in their breeder packs; need to pay with PayPal or crypto; want to know the exact shipping cost before checkout; or live outside the UK and want protection if customs seizes your order. For a beginner setting up a first grow, our guide on how to grow cannabis at home explains what to look for.
Scoring Summary
| Category | Score |
|---|---|
| Seed Quality and Germination | 5.8/10 |
| Shipping and Delivery | 6.5/10 |
| Customer Service | 6.3/10 |
| Product Range | 7.8/10 |
| Price and Value | 7.8/10 |
| Website and UX | 5.0/10 |
| Overall | 6.5/10 |
Discount Cannabis Seeds scores 6.5/10 overall. Product Range and Price and Value are the strongest categories at 7.8/10 each. The range covers around 144 breeders, every seed type including medical, high-CBD and triploid, and a deep autoflower and bulk range. On price, bulk packs list from £1.00 a seed (£0.80 with the October checkout discount), every order gets free seeds and house strains run BOGOF deals, held back by unpublished shipping costs and no advertised loyalty program.
Shipping and Delivery lands at 6.5/10: tracked Royal Mail delivery to the UK, Europe, the US and Canada with clear guide times and plain packaging, minus hidden shipping prices and no refund or resend if customs seizes a parcel. Customer Service scores 6.3/10, with WhatsApp, email and a contact form and good ratings on Google (4.6 from 74) and SeedFinder (7.22), but no published hours and mixed reports on germination complaints. Seed Quality and Germination is 5.8/10: real breeder genetics and many positive germination reports, but no germination guarantee, seeds repacked out of breeder packs for orders outside the UK and repeated reports of poor germination, some on bulk packs. Website and UX is the weakest at 5.0/10 because the FAQ contradicts the terms on germination, returns and packaging, and listing prices differ from what you pay at checkout.

UK buyers can also compare our Seed City, London Seed Centre, ICE Head Shop and MSNL reviews; buyers outside the UK may want to look at our Herbies review.
Final Verdict
Discount Cannabis Seeds lives up to its name in one area: bulk seeds. Packs of 50 and 100 seeds at £1.00 to £1.94 a seed, free seeds on every order and regular BOGOF deals make it among the cheapest ways to buy seeds in quantity that we have seen, and the breeder range is broad. It ships tracked from the UK to Europe, the US and Canada, and its Google rating of 4.6 from 74 reviews shows a solid base of satisfied customers.
The weaknesses are concrete. There is no germination guarantee, and the FAQ wrongly suggests otherwise. Orders outside the UK are repacked out of breeder packs, shipping costs only appear at checkout, and there is no refund if customs seizes your parcel. If you buy bulk on price and can live with that risk, DCS is worth a look; if you want written guarantees, choose a shop that publishes them. To compare it with the rest of the field, see our seedbank review hub.
