Herbies Seeds, also known as Herbies Head Shop, is a multi-breeder seed shop that started in King’s Lynn, England, and is now run from Alicante, Spain. It sells its own Herbies Seeds line next to seeds from well-known breeders, and US orders now ship domestically from a warehouse in New York. Our verdict: a long-running, legitimate shop with fast US delivery, generous free seeds and one of the clearer written germination guarantees we have reviewed, held back by contradictions on its own pages and mixed forum reports about some seeds. We score it 7.3/10.

Buying Herbies Seeds from the USA
For US buyers, the most important fact is that Herbies now runs a separate US storefront (Herbies Seeds USA, also called Herbies USA Express) with prices in dollars. According to the US homepage, US orders are packed and shipped from a warehouse in New York (the FAQ says a U.S.-based warehouse), usually within 24 hours of payment on business days. The parcel stays on a domestic route, so there is no international customs stop. Delivery takes 2 to 4 days on average, shipping costs $10, and it is free when the items in your order total $85 or more.
Herbies’ own pages are not fully consistent on timing. The country table on the shipping page lists 2 to 5 days for the United States, and the UK version of the same page says USA Express ships via USPS within 2 to 3 business days. The homepage title also promises “FREE Shipping”, while the same page states the $10 fee below $85. Plan on the $10 fee and a few days of transit unless your cart clears $85.
The US store carries a narrower range than the international shops: its seedbank list shows 17 producers, led by Herbies’ own line, Blimburn x Herbies, AlphaFem, EGS and Seedkeepers, plus breeders such as Barney’s Farm, Fast Buds, Dutch Passion, Green House Seeds, Royal Queen Seeds, Sensi Seeds and Nirvana. Who Herbies Seeds Is
Herbies is older than most online seed shops. An archived copy of herbiesheadshop.com from April 2006 shows a UK head shop at 36 to 38 St James Street in King’s Lynn, Norfolk, taking seed orders by phone and posting them by Royal Mail. By 2018 the site described itself as a large online seed retailer with UK phone ordering. The current site says Herbies has helped growers “for more than 20 years”, and its footer reads “Copyright 2007 to 2026”.
According to a company press release from July 22, 2021, Herbies moved its operations to Alicante, Spain, in July 2019 and launched its own seedbank, Herbies Seeds, in 2021. The terms and conditions (last updated October 1, 2026) name the company behind the store as Pure Atmosphere S.A.M S.L. (NIF B-42627083), Calle San Vicente 20, Alicante, and the contract falls under Spanish law. Some payments are processed by World Space Link S.L., also in Alicante. The About page says the team has more than 80 people spread across several countries.
Catalog and Seed Types
Herbies sells feminized, autoflower, regular and CBD seeds, plus fast versions, mix packs and themed bundles. The site says feminized seeds account for 98% of its sales. Catalog figures differ by page and store: the About page cites “1500+ strains from 99 different seed banks”, the UK store’s sitemap lists 136 seedbank pages, and the English sitemap holds more than 4,000 strain pages (not all of them in stock). The US store is smaller, with 17 producers.
The house line, Herbies Seeds, covers popular names such as Sour Diesel, Apple Betty Auto, Runtz Punch, OG Kush Fast Version and Northern Lights #10, often in promo packs. Next to it you will find breeder packs from names like Barney’s Farm, Fast Buds, Dutch Passion, Royal Queen Seeds and Sensi Seeds. Herbies says it stores seeds at 4 to 6 °C (39 to 43 °F) and checks every pack before shipment, per its guarantee page. Seeds ship in the original breeder packaging by default; you can ask in the order comment to have them shipped outside the original packaging in zip-lock bags.
Prices and Pack Sizes
Herbies’ base currency is the euro, and US prices are converted to dollars. House-brand strains come as single seeds and in promo packs (for example 3+3, 5+5 and 10+10), while breeder strains usually come in the breeder’s own pack sizes, often 3 and 5 seeds. These are the prices we saw on the US store on October 22, 2026:

So the house line is the cheapest route, at roughly $6.50 to $12 a seed in bigger packs, while breeder packs from Barney’s Farm or Dutch Passion cost about $10 to $15 a seed. The lowest per-seed price we found was Sour Diesel in a 10+10 pack ($6.42); the most expensive was a single Sour Diesel seed ($18.82). In euros, the same 5+5 Sour Diesel pack costs €66.75. The struck-through “original” prices shown on house-brand promo packs count the free seeds at the single-seed price, so compare deals by price per seed. The billing currency is not clear. The payments page says card payments are charged in euros, while US product pages say card, Apple Pay and Venmo payments are processed in dollars; bank transfers are EUR only. The payments page also gives two different answers on how often the exchange rate is updated (“every day” and “every Friday”). Check the currency and total at checkout.
Shipping by Region
United States. Domestic delivery from New York, $10 or free from $85, 2 to 4 days on average, tracking number sent after dispatch. Details are in the section above.
United Kingdom. The UK shipping page quotes 4 to 8 days from payment (the country table says 3 to 6). Shipping is free on orders of at least £83.91, the pound equivalent of the EU threshold. Jersey, Guernsey and the Isle of Man are on the list.
European Union. Orders within the EU ship free from about €100. Herbies offers Certified Mail (about 7 to 11 days), UPS Standard (about 4 to 7 days) and UPS Express Saver (about 2 to 4 days); UPS prices are calculated at checkout and need a phone number.
Canada. The Canadian shipping page says Herbies ships to all provinces and territories with tracking, typically 9 to 12 days after dispatch, and that shipping is free once the order reaches a threshold shown at checkout. The same page names Canada Post in one place and Correos in another, so the carrier is not clear.
Australia and New Zealand. Shipping to Australia costs A$33 and usually takes 10 to 20 days; New Zealand costs NZ$50 and takes 8 to 15 days. Both come with mandatory insurance, priced by order value at checkout. Herbies says new orders to Queensland are temporarily not being dispatched. If customs seizes the parcel, the insurance covers up to two free reshipments (Herbies recommends a new delivery address), but the insurance fee is non-refundable and undelivered orders are not refunded. Herbies says insured parcels reach customers 94% of the time, against 60% without insurance; that is the company’s own figure.
Worldwide and dispatch. The country table covers about 100 destinations, and international orders can take up to 3 to 4 weeks. Orders are processed Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm GMT, and usually leave within 24 hours of payment. Labels show only the delivery details, with no store name.
Delivery guarantee. Stealth-sent or insured orders are covered if tracking shows the parcel has not arrived within more than twice the average shipping time; Herbies then offers a free replacement package or a refund. Claims must be filed within 90 days of purchase, and orders that fail because of a wrong address or an absent recipient are not covered.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Germination Guarantee: What Herbies Actually Promises
Herbies publishes a written germination guarantee with fixed terms, which is more than many seed shops offer. Per its guarantee and claims page and article 9 of its terms:
- Window: 90 days from purchase for seeds from all seedbanks; 1 year from purchase for Herbies Seeds, AlphaFem Seeds, EGS and Seedkeepers (the US seedbank list also tags Blimburn x Herbies with a 1-year badge; confirm before you claim).
- Proof: photos or video of the seeds that did not germinate are mandatory, plus details of your germination method and conditions. You must have followed Herbies’ recommended germination methods.
- What counts: a seed counts as germinated once it shows a root. Promotional seeds inside packs (such as a 5+2 pack, counted as 7 seeds) are covered; bonus seeds added separately to an order are not.
- Limits: one claim per order. Herbies says its partner seedbanks guarantee that at least 90% of the seeds in a pack germinate, and a claim applies when failures exceed that level. Germination claims are not accepted from countries where cultivation is not legally permitted.
- Other claims: lost parcels, customs seizures and wrong or damaged items can be claimed within 90 days (seizures need a copy of the seizure letter, damaged items need photos of the packaging on arrival). Note that article 11 of the terms reserves the right not to resend or refund seized parcels, which conflicts with the guarantee page.
Herbies says complete claims are reviewed within 24 hours. For the 1-year guarantee, it asks you to store seeds in the fridge at 4 to 6 °C, dark and dry. Keep your order number and photograph each step if you plan to claim.
Payment Methods
The payments page lists more options than most seed shops:
- Cards: Visa and Mastercard with 3D Secure, with no fee from Herbies (see the currency note in the prices section). Card payments are “temporarily out of service in some countries”, so check the cart. Amex, government cards, prepaid and gift cards, Capital One and Cash App cards are not accepted. Your statement shows the payment processor, not the store name.
- Crypto: Bitcoin (5% discount) and USDT on ERC-20 or TRC-20 (10% discount). US and UK customers can buy Bitcoin through Cash App and send it.
- Bank transfer and Wise: bank details are emailed after the order; Wise needs an account.
- US only: Venmo, with details sent by email.
- Canada: Interac, per the Canadian payments page.
- Cash: cash on delivery in euros in eligible countries (for a fee shown at checkout). Cash by mail is listed but marked as temporarily unavailable.
Herbies does not list PayPal, and it does not accept checks or Western Union. The US homepage also mentions Apple Pay, but the payments page does not, so check what checkout offers.
Deals, Free Seeds and Discount Codes
As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Herbies:
Free seeds on every order. Every order includes one free seed, and on the US store you can pick one more free seed for every $35 in your cart, per the promotions page. Small souvenirs are added when available.
Promo packs. House brands come with bonus seeds: selected Herbies Seeds packs and all Seedkeepers packs advertise buy 3 get 1, buy 5 get 2 and buy 10 get 4, EGS runs “order any 3, get the cheapest free”, and some house packs are sold as 3+3, 5+5 or 10+10. Bundles are listed at 16% to 19% off.
Order-size discount. Herbies runs a progressive discount, but its pages disagree on the tiers. The US homepage lists 4% from $80, 6% from $105 and 9% from $140, while the promotions page lists 5% over $112.42, 10% over $224.85 and 15% over $449.69 (the dollar equivalents of €100, €200 and €400). The discount does not apply to shipping; the cart shows which rate you get.
Payment discounts. 5% off with Bitcoin and 10% off with USDT.
Promo codes. The only code on the promotions page on October 22, 2026 was ALPHAFEMPROMO: spend over €30 on AlphaFem Seeds and get 2 free seeds. We found no site-wide Herbies Seeds promo code, so treat codes on third-party coupon sites with caution. We also found no points-based loyalty program on the site, although the terms reserve the right to run one.
Customer Service
The contacts page lists these channels:
- Live chat on the site, staffed 24/7 according to Herbies
- Email for sales and support, plus separate addresses for partnerships, quality control and wholesale
- A contact form and a guarantee claim form
- Social media (Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, X, YouTube, Reddit) and a Discord server
No phone number or WhatsApp number is listed now (the Canadian contacts page still mentions WhatsApp but gives no number), and the UK phone line shown on the old site is gone. Herbies does reply in public: in a May 2026 Reddit thread about an order to the Middle East that had not arrived after about 70 days, the Herbies_Seeds account explained that the parcel counted as lost after double the estimated delivery time (48 days) and that a reshipment had been sent. On SmartCustomer, the company has not replied to reviews in the past 12 months.
Reputation
On Reviews.io, Herbies Seeds had 4.5 out of 5 from 9,339 reviews on October 22, 2026, with 88% of reviewers recommending it; the separate Herbies USA Express profile had 4.5 from 592 reviews (88% recommend). The “4.52 average from 9,339 reviews” badge on the Herbies site is this same Reviews.io score. Herbies’ SmartCustomer page is unclaimed and holds one review from March 2022, and a Better Business Bureau search for Herbies Seeds returned no profile.
Reddit opinion is mixed, and individual stories are hard to verify, so they carry little weight in our score. Recurring themes in dated threads:
- In a June 2026 thread (r/GrowingMarijuana), US buyers reported delivery in 3 to 4 days, and one buyer said a parcel stopped by customs was reshipped free. A few commenters questioned whether the seeds match the strain on the label; others who had grown Herbies’ own strains said theirs were true to type.
- In a June 2025 thread (r/Autoflowers), most replies were positive; one buyer said 3 of 9 Barney’s Farm seeds failed and were replaced, another that a lost parcel was resent.
- In an October 2024 thread (r/Autoflowers), a buyer reported that none of 5 seeds germinated and another described mislabeled seeds and 3 of 12 failures; a reply posted on behalf of Herbies months later said the buyer had not contacted support.

The site is feature-rich: a seed finder with filters, more than 100 themed collections, strain pages with characteristics and customer grow reports, a compare tool, PDF and video germination guides and a large blog. Regional stores for the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand show local prices and shipping rules. The homepage is busy, but category pages are easier to scan.
The weak spot is consistency: delivery times, discount tiers, billing currency, exchange-rate rules, the Canadian carrier and the catalog size all differ from page to page, as noted above. When pages disagree, the cart and checkout are the final word.
Who Herbies Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
A good fit if you: live in the US and want domestic shipping in a few days from a shop that also stocks big-name breeders; want a written germination guarantee with a fixed window (and a full year on house brands); like free seeds on every order; want to pay with crypto, Venmo or bank transfer; or live in the UK, Canada, the EU or Australia and want one shop that ships to all of them.
Look elsewhere if you: want rare or boutique breeders (the US store has 17 producers); want to pay with PayPal or Amex; need phone support; or prefer to buy straight from the breeder.

Customer Service scores 7.4/10 for 24/7 chat, a claim form with a stated 24-hour review and public replies, without phone support. Seed Quality and Germination gets 6.8/10: a clear 90-day guarantee (1 year on house brands) and cold storage, weighed against mixed forum reports on germination and labeling. Herbies Seeds is a legitimate shop with roots in the UK that go back to at least 2006, now run by a registered Spanish company. For US growers it is a strong option: orders ship from New York in a few days, cost $10 or nothing above $85, and come with free seeds. The gaps are concrete.
