Buying from Seed City in the USA
Does Seed City ship to the USA? Its shipping page does not publish a country list, but the store describes itself as offering worldwide stealth delivery, and its payment page names US customers among those who can pay by card. Reviewers on SeedFinder reported deliveries to the US and Canada in 2022 and 2023, mostly in about one to three weeks. Orders ship from the UK, so a US parcel goes through customs, and the US is not on the list of countries excluded from the delivery guarantee.
For US buyers the practical points are: choose Stealth Tracked or Super Stealth delivery if you want the 8-week resend-or-refund promise, expect around 10 to 14 working days, and check the shipping price at checkout, because Seed City does not publish international rates. Seed City sells all seeds as souvenirs and collectibles and states that it will refuse a sale if a customer indicates another purpose. Read the legal note in the shipping section below before you order.
Who Seed City Is
Seed City’s homepage and About page say the shop has been online since 2010 and advertise “15 Years of World Wide Stealthy Delivery”. Archived copies of seed-city.com show a working seed shop with seed categories from 2011 onward, which fits that account. The site has since moved to a new shop platform, so older screenshots and reviews may show a different layout and different features.
The contact page lists a UK phone number and a mailbox address at the Alison Business Center in Sheffield. The site does not name a registered company, company number or VAT number, and the terms and privacy policy refer only to “Seed City”. The privacy section says it complies with UK law. That lack of a named legal entity is a transparency gap, though not unusual among UK seed shops.
Seed City is a reseller, not a breeder. Apart from its own budget lines (Seed City Seeds and a Seed City bulk range), the catalog consists of other breeders’ packs.
Catalog and Seed Types
The catalog is the main reason to shop here. The breeders page listed 220 breeders on October 22, 2026, and the site footer claims “over 6,000 strains from the top breeders worldwide”. Our earlier review quoted 9,427 products; that figure came from the old website and is no longer shown. Seed City’s FAQ says around 7,000 seeds are available as single seeds, which is useful if you want to try a strain without buying a full pack.
Breeders include FastBuds (111 products on its breeder page), Barney’s Farm, Big Buddha, Bomb Seeds, Compound Genetics, Cookies Seed Bank, DNA Genetics, Dutch Passion, Green House Seeds, Humboldt Seed Company, Karma Genetics, Mephisto Genetics, Royal Queen Seeds, Sensi Seeds, Serious Seeds and Sweet Seeds, plus many smaller US and European names. That makes it easy to compare several breeders’ versions of classics like OG Kush, Northern Lights or Gorilla Glue in one basket.
Seed types cover feminized, autoflowering, regular and 12/12 photoperiod seeds, high CBD and high CBG strains, triploids, landraces and IBLs. The Seed Selector filters by environment, flowering time, plant height, strength, yield, flavor, effect, strain family, region of origin, stock status and cup winners. Prices and Pack Sizes
Pack sizes depend on the breeder: single seeds, 3, 5 and 10-packs are common, and many strains also come in 25, 50 or 100-seed packs, with bulk lines up to 1,000 seeds. So Seed City’s own lines and bulk packs sit between about $2 and $6 a seed, while big-name breeder packs cost what the breeder charges elsewhere, roughly $8 to $15 a seed in small packs. Large packs cut the per-seed price, and Seed City runs a price match promise: email a link to another seed shop selling the same seeds for less and it will try to match the price (shipping and FAQ page).
Card payments are only taken once the order has shipped, and items that turn out to be out of stock are not charged. Returns are possible within 14 days of telling Seed City (plus 14 days to send the goods back), with a refund in cash or store credit, but stealth orders cannot be returned because the seeds have been repackaged.
Shipping by Region
United Kingdom. Free on all orders by Royal Mail Tracked 24, usually 2 to 3 working days, no signature needed. Seed City’s About page states that in the UK, cannabis seeds are sold as adult souvenirs and must not be germinated. Growing cannabis without a licence is illegal in the UK under the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971.
International (EU, US, Canada, Australia and elsewhere). According to the shipping and FAQ page, there are four options, priced at checkout by country:
- Stealth Tracked Delivery (recommended): seeds repackaged out of the breeder packaging, tracked, covered by the delivery guarantee
- Super Stealth Delivery: seeds hidden inside an everyday item, tracked and guaranteed
- Standard Tracked Delivery: original breeder packaging in a larger parcel, tracked, not guaranteed
- Stealth Airmail: repackaged, untracked, not guaranteed
Seed City estimates about 7 to 10 working days to the EU and 10 to 14 working days to the rest of the world. The packaging page explains the stealth methods: crush-proof black tubes inside a toy building-block box for Stealth Tracked, and seeds inside color-coded building blocks for Super Stealth. You can ask for before-and-after photos, ask for the breeder packaging to be sent separately, or opt out of repackaging in the order comments.
The delivery guarantee. Seed City will resend or refund an international order sent by Stealth Tracked or Super Stealth if it has not arrived within 8 weeks of dispatch. The guarantee does not cover Standard Tracked or Stealth Airmail, or orders to Argentina, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Egypt, Hong Kong, India, Iran, Japan, Norway, Pakistan, South Korea, South Africa, Turkey and Vietnam. The terms add that Seed City will not reimburse products kept or destroyed by authorities and only takes responsibility until the order leaves the UK. Those two texts do not fully line up, so if customs is your main worry, ask Seed City before ordering how it treats a seized parcel. Parcels returned after a failed delivery are resent for a new shipping charge (£2.50 UK, £4 Europe, £6 rest of world).
Australia and Canada. Neither is on the excluded list. In an r/AusGrowers thread from October 3, 2023, Australian buyers reported deliveries within about a week, one parcel lost by Australia Post that Seed City resent (it took two months in total) and one full refund for a parcel that never arrived. SeedFinder reviewers in Canada reported delivery in roughly one to three weeks in 2022 and 2023.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Germination Guarantee: There Isn’t One
Seed City offers no germination guarantee, and its business model rules one out: the terms state that seeds are sold for souvenir, collection or preservation purposes and that Seed City will refuse a sale if it suspects a customer intends to germinate the seeds. The only guarantee on the site is the 8-week delivery guarantee described above.
In practice, germination results depend on the breeder. Most recent reviews on Reviews.io report good germination, but some October 2026 reviews report poor results, such as 1 of 4 seeds sprouting or “less than 20% strike rate”. Because Seed City does not promise replacements, buyers who want germination cover should check whether the breeder itself offers one, keep the breeder packaging (or ask for it to be sent separately with stealth orders) and photograph their germination attempts.
Payment Methods
The payment methods page lists:
- Credit card (Visa and Mastercard logos), currently only for customers in the EU, Canada and the US; statements show “S City”
- Bank transfer from the UK or from other countries (email for account details, use the order number as reference)
- Cash by post (send it tracked; Seed City is not responsible for cash that does not arrive)
- Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies through NOWPayments
UK customers therefore cannot pay by card and need bank transfer, cash or crypto. The site’s own summary of the payment page mentions 5% off bitcoin payments, but the page text does not repeat that discount, so check the total at checkout. One Australian buyer in the r/AusGrowers thread above said a crypto payment took a week to be confirmed before the order was processed.

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Seed City:
Free seeds on every order over £25. The free seed page sets 10 tiers by basket subtotal: 1 free seed from £25, 2 from £50, 3 from £75, 4 from £100, 5 from £150, 6 from £250, 8 from £400, 10 from £600, 12 from £800 and 14 from £1,000. You pick from a rotating list of 20 strains, including Blue Dream and Jack Herer, while stocks last.
October offers. The special offers page listed 20% off the full ranges of Anesia Seeds, Big Buddha Seeds, Big Head Seeds, Dutch Passion, Humboldt Seed Co, Original Sensible Seeds and Royal Queen Seeds, and 50% off TasteBudz, Terp Treez Co and Humboldt Seed Organisation, all through October. About 20 breeders add free seeds with their packs; FastBuds, for example, adds 1 free seed with a 3-pack, 2 with a 5-pack and 3 with a 10-pack. The sale area advertises up to 30% off.
Discount codes. The special offers page listed no coupon or discount codes on October 22, 2026, and we found no official Seed City code. Treat “Seed City coupon code” offers on third-party sites with caution; the free seed tiers, breeder sales and price match are the official ways to save.
Loyalty. We found no points or loyalty program on the site.
Customer Service
The contact page lists:

Our earlier review said support ran only through a contact form with no phone line. That was wrong. The homepage also advertises “24/7 Online Support”, which in practice means the 24-hour email target above; no live chat is listed. On public complaint handling: we found no BBB profile for seed-city.com. Its SmartCustomer page had no reviews on October 22, 2026. The r/AusGrowers thread linked above started with a buyer who could not log in and had no email reply, while other commenters described a resend and a full refund.
Reputation
Seed City has more independent feedback than most UK seed shops:
- Reviews.io: 4.65 out of 5 from 1,013 reviews, with the newest dated October 21, 2026 (checked October 22, 2026). Seed City links to this page from its site and shows it as “4.7”. Recent reviews mostly praise fast, discreet delivery and service; the negative ones are mainly about seeds that did not germinate or loose packing. A few entries on the page are off-topic posts that have nothing to do with seeds.
- SeedFinder: 9.49 out of 10 (general impression) from 1,854 user reviews (product quality 9.53, delivery speed 9.29, customer service 9.65), with the newest review from October 2024. Complaints there mainly concern parcels stopped by customs or not arriving, and some seeds that failed to germinate.
