Expert Seed Bank (also sold as Expert Seeds) is an online seed shop based in Dublin, Ireland. Its terms and conditions, and the site footer until at least May 2026, name Valdora International as the operator; Valdora International Limited is a registered Irish company. It sells its own Expert Seed line next to packs from well-known breeders such as Barney’s Farm, FastBuds, Royal Queen Seeds and Sensi Seeds, ships worldwide including the US, and runs constant buy-one-get-one and free-seed deals. Our verdict: a real, long-running shop with cheap bulk packs and generous promotions, held back by repeated public reports of orders that never arrived, no germination guarantee and a website full of contradictions. We score it 5.0/10.

Buying from Expert Seed Bank in the USA
Expert Seed Bank ships to the US, and its FAQ quotes 6 to 10 days for delivery to the US and Canada. What a US order costs to ship depends on which page you read. The FAQ says US customers get free tracked shipping on orders over $115 and pay $10 below that. The Shipping and Returns page says the threshold is $125 and tracked delivery costs $15. Check the shipping line at checkout before you pay.
Three more points matter for US buyers. First, card payments are charged in euros, and the FAQ warns that some US banks decline them; it suggests an international bank transfer or crypto instead. Second, orders only ship to the card’s billing address, a requirement of its card processor. Third, the site does not say which country orders ship from. Read the legal note in the shipping section below as well: being on a shipping list does not make growing legal in every state.
Who Expert Seed Bank Is
The terms and conditions, and the site footer until at least May 2026, name Valdora International as the operator, located at Slaney Court, Dublin Industrial Estate, Dublin 11. The rebuilt homepage, FAQ and contact page do not name a company. The Irish Companies Registration Office lists Valdora International Limited as company number 478386, a private company limited by shares, incorporated on December 7, 2009, with status “Normal” and its last annual return filed in September 2025. The registered address is 4 Slaney Court, Glasnevin Industrial Estate, Dublin 11.
The shop itself goes back at least to early 2013, when an archived copy of expertseedbank.com showed an “Expert Seeds” store with a 2012 copyright line. The site says it has been “serving customers of all sizes for over 15 years”; that line has not changed since at least 2021, so treat it as the company’s own claim. Its About page describes Expert Seeds as a collective of breeders from several European countries.
The website was rebuilt in 2026, and the new version still has rough edges that matter for trust. The contact page lists “VAT: VS123456789 // CIF: BL1247890”. Irish VAT numbers start with “IE” followed by digits. The age check refers to the terms of use of a different brand, “Purple City Genetics”. The About page also claims carbon-neutral facilities, fully compostable packaging and a 2% revenue donation to seed preservation projects, none of which the site backs up with details. None of this proves anything about how orders are handled, but it is not what you expect from a shop that has been selling online for over a decade.
Catalog and Seed Types
Expert Seed Bank used to sell mainly its own genetics. Today it is a multi-brand shop. The brand menu lists Expert Seed, Garden of Green, Barney’s Farm, FastBuds, Royal Queen Seeds, Seedsman, Sensi Seeds, Dutch Passion, Sweet Seeds, Silent Seeds, Good Genetix, Tyson 2.0 and Greenhouse, plus clothing and an equipment section. Garden of Green is a brand the site itself called “our sister seedbank” in 2021.
The site advertises “800+ strains”. We could not count the full catalog (the shop pages did not load during our check), and the homepage itself still says “over 600 cannabis strains”, so take the figure as a claim. The Expert Seed brand page alone showed 40 products, split between F1 hybrids (such as Mimosa F1, Jealousy F1, Auto GG4 F1 and Auto Lemon Haze F1) and a long list of regular seeds, including White Widow, Northern Lights, Sour Diesel, Wedding Cake, OG Kush and Stardawg F2.
Feminized and autoflower house strains that the site promotes include Sweet Zombie, Blueberry Glue Auto and the Gorilla and Cali collections. The menus cover feminized, autoflowering, regular, F1, CBD/CBG and themed collections (Cheese, Haze, Kush, Skunk, Cookies, Blueberry, Purple), plus indoor, outdoor and beginner filters. The F1 line also lists a “1+1 free” option at €11.00. Note that its 5-pack costs more per seed than its 3-pack, so compare pack sizes before you add one to the cart. Other brands run on their own price ladders: Julian Marley Special costs €44.00 for 3 seeds, and Royal Queen Seeds packs on the points page are listed as “5+5” (five free with five), for example Royal Runtz at €37.50.
Returns are possible but limited. The Shipping and Returns page asks you to contact the shop within seven days and organize any return within 21 days of receiving the order. Items must be unused and in their original packaging. Faulty or wrong items qualify for a full refund; otherwise only the cost of the goods is refunded.
Shipping by Region
United States and Canada. The site quotes 6 to 10 days. For the US, free tracked shipping starts at $115 (FAQ) or $125 (shipping page), with tracked delivery at $10 or $15 below that. No US states or Canadian provinces are excluded on the site.
Europe. The FAQ gives 3 to 5 days for the EU; the shipping page says 3 to 4 days. The UK is not named separately; the site says it ships worldwide and that it is up to you to check local laws.
Australia and the rest of the world. The FAQ quotes 7 to 10 days for the rest of the world. The shipping page instead lists 4 to 6 days for Australia, Brazil, Thailand, China, New Zealand, Turkey and the UAE. For non-US orders, the shipping page promises free standard and free tracked shipping on orders over $125.
Dispatch, tracking and packaging. Orders go out at about 2 pm on working days, so an order placed after 2 pm on Friday leaves on Monday. Most orders are sent in plain brown padded envelopes with only stamps and an address label, and larger orders in unmarked boxes, with the seeds in their original breeder packaging. Registered (tracked) post is insured and must be signed for; you find the tracking number in your account, and parcels can be followed through Correos or UPS. The shop asks you to wait 14 days before reporting a missing parcel and says it will replace seeds that do not arrive.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Germination Guarantee
Expert Seed Bank does not publish a germination guarantee: no percentage, no claim window and no procedure for seeds that fail to sprout. Its promise covers delivery only: “Did not receive your seeds? We will happily replace your seeds.” An archived 2023 version of the homepage carried a “Germination Guarantee” banner, but no terms were attached, and the current site does not repeat it.
The About page says every variety is tested for germination rate, genetic purity and growing performance. We could not verify that. Independent feedback on germination is mixed (see Reputation below), so keep your order confirmation and photograph any failed seeds if you plan to contact support.
Payment Methods
According to the FAQ, Expert Seed Bank accepts “major credit and debit cards, bank transfers and crypto payments”, with 10% off when you pay in crypto. Card payments are charged in euros, which is why some US cards are declined; the shop suggests an international bank transfer or crypto as alternatives. The currency switch offers euros and US dollars. PayPal is not mentioned.
Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes
As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Expert Seed Bank:
Buy one, get one free. The site banner advertises “Buy 1 Get 1 Free Seeds” as a limited-time offer, and many packs are listed as doubled (for example “5+5 seeds”).
Free seeds. Every order gets a free seed. The Offers page adds a spend ladder on seeds: 3 free seeds from €60, 5 from €90, 10 from €130 and 15 from €180. Orders above €25 also get a “Lucky Double Dip” bonus plus a FastBuds Gorilla Cookies Auto seed, with Sweet Zombie or Blueberry Glue Auto to choose at checkout.
Sales. The Offers page advertises 30% off selected strains across all brands and 40% off selected strains across the collection, bulk orders included.
Crypto discount. Paying in crypto takes 10% off at checkout.
Points. A Redeem Points page lets account holders swap points for products, but the site does not explain how points are earned or what they are worth.
Discount codes. No coupon code was published on the site on October 22, 2026. Earlier banners used codes (in January 2026, the code “Grow” for a 25% sale), but codes rotate and expire, so be careful with third-party coupon sites.

The homepage also mentions live chat, but we did not find a chat window on the pages we checked. A phone line six days a week is better than many seed shops offer. The public record on follow-through is weak, though: several SeedFinder reviewers (October 2022, November 2022, May 2024 and March 2026) and Reddit users (2024) say their emails went unanswered after a paid order did not arrive, and a November 2023 SeedFinder reviewer says they received no shipping or contact information after paying. On SmartCustomer, the business has not responded to reviews in the last 12 months. One SmartCustomer reviewer (May 2024) did report that support was courteous and sent replacement seeds promptly.
Reputation
Independent review data is thin and mixed. These are the figures we found on October 22, 2026:
- SeedFinder: 6.19/10 general impression from 9 user reviews, posted between September 2021 and March 2026 (sub-scores: product quality 7.5, delivery speed 5.67, customer service 5.4). SeedFinder lists the shop as “green_yellow”. Positive reviews (2021 and 2022) describe fast delivery, including about four days from Ireland to the US East Coast. Five reviews from 2022 to 2026 report paid orders that were never delivered or answered, and one reports old seeds that did not germinate (SeedFinder reviews).
- SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber): one review (1 star, May 9, 2024), and the profile shows 2.0/5. The reviewer says none of the seeds germinated and the replacements also failed, while support was courteous and sent the replacements promptly (SmartCustomer page).
- Better Business Bureau: no profile found.
On Reddit, opinion is split. In an r/microgrowery thread started on October 10, 2022, replies posted through 2025 include several users who say orders never arrived or went to the wrong country, complaints about poor germination and hermaphrodite plants, and a few growers who say they received their seeds and were happy with the results. One reply from 2022 claims the original Expert Seeds business was taken over by a different operator; we could not verify that. A second r/microgrowery thread from August 15, 2025 opens with a buyer who was satisfied with prices and selection; one reply reports good germination, while a March 2026 reply says orders were not delivered.
Reddit posts are individual accounts, but the same complaint (paid, not shipped, no reply) appears across several platforms and years, and it weighs on the shipping and customer service scores.
Website and Usability
The new site is easy to browse: collections by seed type, effect and theme, brand pages, top-10 lists and a currency switch. Product pages show pack ladders up to 1,000 seeds. The weak spots are consistency and polish. Shipping thresholds and delivery times differ between the FAQ, the shipping page and the homepage banner; the contact page lists “VAT: VS123456789 // CIF: BL1247890”; the age check names another brand; and the Offers page still contains design notes such as “Keep the threshold ladder prominent so customers can understand the offer at a glance”. The terms and conditions cover website use only and say nothing about sales, guarantees or customs.
Who Expert Seed Bank Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
It may suit you if you: want large regular or F1 packs at a low price per seed; like stacking deals such as buy-one-get-one, free seeds and 10% off for crypto; or want a European shop that lists US, Canadian and Australian delivery. If you try it, start with a small order and keep your payment records.
Look elsewhere if you: want a written germination guarantee; need a shop with a long, consistent public record of delivery and support; want one clear shipping price before checkout; or pay with a US card that may block euro charges. Product Range is the strongest category at 7.0/10: the shop now stocks established breeders next to its own F1 and regular lines, with bulk packs up to 1,000 seeds. Price and Value follows at 6.5/10, thanks to low bulk prices, buy-one-get-one deals, free seeds and a 10% crypto discount, held back by an uneven F1 price ladder and a points scheme without published terms.
Shipping and Delivery lands at 5.0/10: worldwide delivery, discreet packaging and a promise to replace lost parcels, offset by thresholds and delivery times that differ between pages, no stated ship-from country and repeated non-delivery reports from 2022 to 2026. Seed Quality and Germination scores 4.5/10, because there is no germination guarantee and independent reports on germination are mixed. Customer Service and Website and UX both score 4.0/10: phone and email are available, but many buyers report unanswered emails, and the site shows tax codes that do not follow the Irish VAT format, another brand’s name and contradictory policies.

Final Verdict
Expert Seed Bank is a real business: terms that name a registered Irish company, a shop that has been online since at least 2013, a phone line and a catalog that now mixes its own F1 and regular lines with packs from established breeders. Bulk buyers and deal hunters will find low prices per seed, especially in packs of 100 or more.
The problems are concrete and documented. There is no germination guarantee, the site gives two different US shipping prices, and several buyers on SeedFinder and Reddit report paid orders that never arrived or emails that went unanswered, as recently as March 2026.
