Discreet Seeds is a British online seed shop run from Norfolk, England, under the trading name Discreet Gifts. It resells more than 200 breeder brands, sells its own house line from £4.50 a seed (down to £0.78 a seed in 1,000-seed bulk packs), adds free seeds to every order and ships worldwide, including to the US, Canada and Australia. Our verdict: a long-running shop with a very wide range and low prices on its own seeds, held back by terms that rule out any germination guarantee, no card payments at US checkout and mixed recent feedback on germination. We score it 6.3/10.

Buying Discreet Seeds from the USA
US buyers can order. When we set the delivery country to the United States and ran a test basket through checkout (without placing an order) on October 22, 2026 and again on November 1, 2026, the only shipping option offered was International Tracked Insured Mail at £12.50, shown as $16.75 in US dollars on November 1. Prices can be displayed in dollars: an 8-pack of a house strain listed at £29.99 showed as $40.19 (checked Nov 1, 2026).
Two limits matter for Americans. First, the card checkout button did not appear for a US delivery address; the options were bank transfer, Bitcoin, Binance Pay and cash in the mail. The FAQ still lists the US among card countries, so the page and checkout disagree. Second, there is no free shipping at any order size we tested. As of November 2026, the site displays a 15% code, INT15, to visitors with a US delivery country; we did not test it at checkout. The international delivery estimate is 5 to 15 working days, and Royal Mail tracking for international parcels may stop once the parcel leaves the UK. Read the legal note in the shipping section below before ordering.
Who Discreet Seeds Is
Discreet Seeds trades from a PO box in Wisbech, Norfolk, and its About page describes it as based in Kings Lynn. The legal name used on the site is Discreet Gifts, which is also the name that appears on card statements. The terms page gives a registered address on Wilkins Road (PE14 7BG) and VAT number 260087224. HMRC’s VAT checker lists that number as valid and registered to a sole trader at the Wilkins Road address, and we found no limited company under the Discreet Gifts name at Companies House.
The domain discreetseeds.co.uk was registered in May 2011, and customer reviews on SeedFinder go back to 2015. The shop’s own experience claims vary: the homepage says “over 20 years” of trading seeds and the About page “over 25 years” in the cannabis industry. Claims such as “the UK’s largest” supplier are the shop’s own marketing.
Like other UK seed sellers, Discreet Seeds sells seeds as souvenirs only. Its disclaimer says staff “CANNOT and WILL NOT discuss germination/yields/THC levels”, and it cites Section 6 of the UK Misuse of Drugs Act 1971, which makes cultivating cannabis an offence in the UK without a Home Office license.
Catalog and Seed Types
The range is far larger than a typical UK shop. On October 22, 2026 the breeder menu listed 227 breeder and brand entries, including Archive Seedbank, Barneys Farm, Fast Buds, Dutch Passion, Royal Queen Seeds, Sensi Seeds, Humboldt Seed Company, In House Genetics, Cannarado Genetics and Cali Connection. There are categories for feminized, autoflowering and regular seeds, CBD seeds, cup winners and a “coming soon” list, plus smoking accessories.
The house brand, sold as Discreet Seeds, had 141 products, including Black Cherry Moonrocks, Forbidden Fruit, Purple Stardawg, Strawberry Cookies, Northern Lights, White Widow, UK Cheese and several triploid strains. Single seeds are a strong point: the FAQ says every seed is available as a single. Singles and Pick n Mix seeds are taken out of the breeder pack and sent in individually labeled mini bags; larger packs ship in the original breeder packaging. House strains also come in 4-packs (£16.25) and 50-packs (£90.00, £1.80 a seed), and a separate bulk page sells 1,000 house seeds for £780 (£0.78 a seed). At the top end, a single Archive Seedbank Sugar Biscuits seed cost £15.25 (still listed at that price, but out of stock on November 1, 2026). Several breeders carried discount labels in the menu: 20% for Anesia, BigHead, Dutch Passion, Humboldt Seed Company, Original Sensible and Royal Queen Seeds, and 25% for Big Buddha. Prices show in GBP, EUR, USD, AUD, CAD or NZD; the dollar figures are conversions, so the pound price is the reference. Shipping is always added at checkout.
Returns are possible within 7 days of receipt, only with prior approval, for unused items in the original packaging; the item price is refunded but not the shipping, according to the delivery and returns page.
Shipping by Region
United Kingdom. At checkout we were offered Royal Mail Tracked 24 for £5.50 and Special Delivery (before 1 pm the next working day after dispatch) for £11.25. The delivery page still lists £4.50 and £8.99 for these services, so expect the checkout price, and it describes Tracked 24 as arriving 1 to 5 days after dispatch. Dispatch is aimed within 2 working days of payment; the terms say 48 to 72 hours, excluding weekends and bank holidays.
United States, Canada and Europe. Checkout offered one service: International Tracked Insured Mail for £12.50 (about $16.75, CA$23.25 or €15.00 in the site’s converter on November 1, 2026). The delivery page describes most international orders as taking 5 to 15 working days; the FAQ says 7 to 10 working days and, rarely, up to 21. The delivery page also mentions a tracked courier for £25 to £50 (1 to 5 working days), but it did not appear at checkout in our test.
Australia. Orders are accepted, but the checkout states that seeds can only be sent with Super Discreet shipping: they are removed from the breeder packaging, put into small labeled bags and concealed within a gift.
Packaging. Orders go out in a plain grey bag with no company name or contents information. Super Discreet shipping (seeds repacked into labeled mini bags) is available at no extra charge, and the terms say international orders are sent in packaging “similar to a DVD case”. No receipts are included in the parcel.
Lost parcels. The homepage promises “successful delivery or your money back”, but we found no written procedure or deadline for lost-parcel claims in the terms or FAQ. One Reddit user reported in May 2024 that a missing order was resent without hassle, while a SeedFinder reviewer wrote in September 2023 that a resent parcel also failed to arrive.
Shipping to the US does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.
Discreet Seeds’ terms state that “all seeds are legally considered HEMP seeds by law”, citing the 2018 Farm Bill. That is the seller’s own position, not legal advice, and it predates the changes described above. The FAQ adds that by ordering you confirm you have checked your local law.
Germination Guarantee: What Discreet Seeds Promises
There is no germination guarantee. The terms say the shop is “unable to guarantee that any seeds we sell will successfully germinate; it is a risk you must be willing to take.” What the terms do promise is that seeds are fresh and genuine and arrive in perfect condition.
For damaged or faulty items, you must report the problem within 14 days of receipt; the shop will replace or refund the product and refund the cost of posting it back. The FAQ asks for such claims by email, not by phone. Germination failures are not covered by this, and staff will not discuss germination. A SeedFinder reviewer reported in September 2023 that, after two lots failed to germinate, the shop replied that it offers no guarantees relating to germination and offered free seeds on a next order instead.
Payment Methods
The FAQ lists four ways to pay:
- Debit or credit card with 3D Secure (Visa and Mastercard logos shown). In checkout tests this was offered for UK addresses and most European addresses tried (including Germany, Switzerland and Norway), but not for Sweden, the US, Canada, Australia or New Zealand.
- Bank transfer (UK or international). You need to email for the bank details; a checkout notice says the shop recently changed bank accounts, so do not reuse old details.
- Cryptocurrency, including Bitcoin and Ethereum, with a 15-minute payment window, plus Binance Pay.
- Cash in the mail, sent by a tracked registered service to the PO box, with 10% off the order total.
Postal orders and money orders are not accepted, and we found no PayPal option. Card payments show as “Discreet gifts” on your statement.
Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes
As of November 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Discreet Seeds:
Free seeds on every order. The free seeds page lets you choose between a breeder freebie (feminized or autoflower, for example ElevenThirty Genetics Blue Zlushi or Tastebudz Mimosa Auto) or the original system of one free house seed per £10 spent, capped at 30 free seeds per order. On November 1, 2026 every test basket also included a free Fast Buds Strawberry Banana Auto.
Cash discount and bulk. Paying in cash by mail takes 10% off. House strains drop to £1.60 a seed in 100-packs and £0.78 a seed in 1,000-seed bulk packs.
Mystery tins and boxes. The house range included Mystery Tins (8+8 seeds for £29.99, feminized or auto) and Halloween Goodie Boxes (5 seeds plus merchandise for £25).
Buy one, get one free on house packs. As of November 1, 2026, the house range page advertises a buy-one-get-one-free (BOGOF) offer on 1, 4 and 8 seed packs of the Discreet Seeds range. In our test baskets an 8-pack (£29.99) came with 8 free seeds, about £1.87 a seed, and a single seed with 1 free seed; a 50-pack received no BOGOF seeds. We found no end date for the offer, so check the basket before you pay.
Codes and loyalty. As of November 2026, the site displays a sitewide banner that depends on the delivery country you choose: INT15 (15% off) for the US, Canada and Australia, and EURO15 for most European countries; no code was shown for the UK, New Zealand, Sweden or Thailand. We did not test these codes at checkout, so check that the discount applies before you pay. We found no points or loyalty program on the site. Treat codes on third-party coupon sites with caution.

We saw no contact form or live chat. SeedFinder users rate customer service 9.31/10, but recent written reviews there are mixed: some praise fast email replies, while others from 2022 and 2023 describe slow or no responses to order problems. We found no BBB profile, and the shop’s SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) and Reviews.io pages had no reviews (checked October 22, 2026).
Reputation
SeedFinder. The SeedFinder seedbank page gives Discreet Seeds a General Impression of 9.34/10 from 36 user reviews (Product Quality 9.14, Delivery Speed 9.56, Customer Service 9.31) and lists it as “green”. Most reviews date from 2015 to 2021 and are very positive; the newest, from 2022 to April 2024, are more mixed, including a June 2022 complaint that an order was “not what I paid for” and the September 2023 germination complaint mentioned above.
Reddit. Threads we verified show the same split:
- r/2x2growery, “Anybody tried discreet seeds uk?” (September 2024): the poster asks whether the seeds are genuine. Replies include long-time satisfied customers (October 2024, April 2026) and a September 2025 comment saying the last two batches did not germinate.
- r/cannabiscultivation, UK seedbank recommendations (April 2024): one user recommends Discreet Seeds for its choice, seconded by a breeder account whose seeds the shop sells.
- r/microgrowery comment (May 2024): a user reports a lost order was resent without hassle.
Because breeder accounts also post in these threads and individual order stories cannot be checked, we give them limited weight. Fast, discreet delivery is widely praised, while recent complaints mostly concern germination. If authenticity matters to you, buy larger packs in sealed breeder packaging.
Who Discreet Seeds Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere
A good fit if you: live in the UK and want cheap next-day tracked delivery; want to try many strains as single seeds; want low-cost house seeds in bulk; or want free stealth repacking and free seeds on every order.
Look elsewhere if you: want a written germination guarantee; live in the US, Canada or Australia and want to pay by card; expect free shipping; or want growing advice from the seller (it will not discuss cultivation).

Seed Quality and Germination stays at 5.0/10 because the terms rule out any germination guarantee and customers reported germination failures in September 2023 (SeedFinder) and September 2025 (Reddit), offset by good long-run SeedFinder product ratings (9.14/10) and sealed breeder packs on larger orders. Website and UX scores 5.0/10: the site works and converts currencies, but the FAQ, delivery page and checkout contradict each other on card countries and shipping prices.

Final Verdict
Discreet Seeds is a long-running UK reseller with one of the widest breeder selections we have reviewed, single seeds of almost everything, very cheap house strains and free seeds on every order. UK buyers get next-day tracked delivery for £5.50, and international buyers a flat £12.50 tracked service, with free stealth repacking.
The downsides are concrete. The terms rule out any germination guarantee, US, Canadian and Australian buyers cannot pay by card at checkout, there is no free shipping, and a few customers have reported seeds that did not germinate.
