Bushplanet Review 2026: EU Shipping, Prices and Clones

Bushplanet is an Austrian grow shop and seed retailer with roots in a Vienna head shop that opened in 1997. Its webshop sells more than 700 seed listings from a dozen European breeders, plus live seedlings and clones grown at its own nursery near Vienna. Our verdict: a long-running, well-known shop for buyers in the EU, especially Austria and Germany, but it ships only within the EU, its payment page (checked Oct 22, 2026) offers only bank transfer for now, and it publishes no germination guarantee. We score it 5.7/10.

This review is based on Bushplanet’s published policies, current prices on its webshop and independent customer feedback. All facts were checked on October 22, 2026.

Can You Buy From Bushplanet in the USA?

No. Bushplanet’s shipping page lists 26 destination countries, all in the European Union. The United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom are not on the list. Buyers outside the EU will need a seedbank that ships to their country; the comparison section below links to other reviews.

Who Bushplanet Is

According to its About page, Bushplanet opened its first head and grow shop in Vienna in 1997 and calls itself probably the best-known name in the Austrian hemp business. Milestones it lists include the first legal clone production in Austria (1998), the Bushplanet Grow City in Brunn am Gebirge (2010), the Plant City nursery for seedlings and clones (2016) and its role in founding the trade association Wirtschaftsverband Cannabis Austria (2018). Seedlings have been sold online since December 2024 and clones since April 2025.

The company named in the imprint is Bushplanet Distribution GmbH & Co KG, Industriestrasse D/5, 2345 Brunn am Gebirge, registered under FN 408904f at the Wiener Neustadt commercial court. According to its store page (checked Oct 22, 2026), the stores are the Grow City in Brunn am Gebirge, the Plant City in Vösendorf and the Esterhazygasse 32 to 34 store in Vienna, which the page said would reopen on November 5, 2026. Archived versions of its About page and product pages (April to June 2026) also named Bushplanet CityGrow at Margaretenstraße 121 in Vienna as a grow and head shop and described Esterhazygasse as temporarily closed. The October store page did not list the Margaretenstraße shop, so check before you visit.

One part of the company’s history matters for buyers. In March 2024, Bushplanet Distribution filed for restructuring proceedings without self-administration at the Wiener Neustadt regional court, with liabilities of €1.49 million and 75 creditors, and offered creditors a 20% quota payable within two years, as Leadersnet reported on March 12, 2024. The company cited inflation, energy costs, falling sales and customer payment defaults. Bushplanet’s own About page lists “2024: successful restructuring proceedings for Bushplanet Distribution”, and the webshop and stores were operating when we checked.

Catalog and Seed Types

The seed catalog is much larger than a quick look suggests. When we checked on October 22, 2026, the cannabis seeds category held 718 listings, 674 of them marked as available right away. The category filters showed 265 autoflower, 310 feminized, 59 regular, 37 CBD and 29 fast flowering listings (some listings sit in more than one group).

The breeders are well-known European and international names: Fast Buds, Dutch Passion, Sweet Seeds, Sensi Seeds, Barney’s Farm, Royal Queen Seeds, Paradise Seeds, T.H. Seeds, White Label, Silent Seeds (which Bushplanet calls the successor to Dinafem), Super Sativa Seed Club and Compound Genetics. You buy original breeder packs, not house-brand seeds. Seedlings and clones. This is what sets Bushplanet apart. It sells young plants grown from original breeder seeds (for example Sensi Seeds Jack Herer, Dutch Passion Blue Zushi and Fast Buds Gorilla Cookies Auto) and rooted clones of strains such as Kush Mints, Cereal Milk and RS11. The plants section listed 85 products, 34 of them clones (checked Oct 22, 2026). Clone listings describe shipping to Germany and Austria only, plants ship Monday to Wednesday so they do not sit in a depot over the weekend, and the terms exclude plants from returns and refunds. Clones ship in packs of six at €12.50 per parcel of up to 36 clones, according to the archived clone category (April 2026). Bushplanet’s terms also state that its information on plant effects and yields is meant only for buyers in Germany growing under the German Cannabis Act.

Legal status differs by product and country. On August 31, 2026, Regensburger Nachrichten reported that German customs had seized 2,312 young cannabis plants an unnamed Austrian company had sent to 729 recipients in Germany. Customs said genuine cuttings count as propagation material under the German Consumer Cannabis Act, but plants already potted and growing on their own count as cannabis plants whose import is banned, even from another EU country, and it opened criminal proceedings against the recipients. The act defines propagation material as seeds and cuttings (§ 1 No. 7 KCanG), and § 4 KCanG allows seeds for private growing to be imported only from EU member states. In Austria, growing cannabis plants to produce narcotics is a criminal offense under § 27 SMG. Check your local law before ordering live plants.

Grow supplies. The menu also covers soil and substrates, nutrients (BioBizz, Canna, Plagron, Advanced Nutrients and others), lighting, ventilation, irrigation and pH/EC meters. The About page says the webshop focuses on seeds and plants, while the physical stores carry the full grow range.

Prices and Pack Sizes

Pack sizes follow the breeders: most strains come in 3, 5 and 10 seed packs, some in 7, 25 or 100. Prices include Austrian VAT. These are prices we saw on October 22, 2026, during a 25% off promotion on many seeds:

In our sample, regular prices ran from about €5.65 to €11.42 per seed, and bigger packs or the current sale bring that down. A 100-pack of Banana Blaze cost €284.25 at the 25% sale price (€2.84 per seed). On the pages we checked on Oct 22, 2026, seedlings cost €16.00 to €27.50 each and clones €9.50 (XXL €16.50). Clone prices move with promotions: in April 2026 the archived clone pages showed €9.50 as a sale price (regular €16.50) and €14.50 for XXL. Seed packs are excluded from the 14-day withdrawal right once the packaging or seal is opened, per the cancellation policy, and you must be at least 18 to order.

Shipping by Region

European Union. The shipping page (checked Oct 22, 2026) lists these flat rates per parcel and free-shipping thresholds. The Austrian threshold is not consistent across versions: the page we checked showed €80, an archived version from March 2026 showed €50, and product pages state free shipping from €80 for Austria and Germany.

Free shipping does not apply to orders with soil or other heavy, bulky items, and product pages state that plants are excluded too. Bushplanet’s terms say orders normally leave the next working day after the order or payment arrives, that delivery should take one to three working days depending on where you live, and that parcels go out with GLS Austria or DPD in a neutral envelope or box. Customs or similar charges, if any, are for the buyer. Live plants ship only to Austria and Germany and only Monday to Wednesday; clones cost €12.50 per parcel of up to 36 (as of April 2026).

United Kingdom, Canada and Australia. None of these is on the shipping list, so Bushplanet does not deliver there.

United States. Not on the shipping list either.

If you order from a seedbank that does ship to the US, remember that shipping does not make growing legal everywhere. Seed and cultivation laws differ by state, and the federal hemp definition is changing in stages between November 12 and December 11, 2026 (P.L. 119-37, section 781, as amended by P.L. 119-103), which may affect how cannabis seeds can be sold and shipped (Congressional Research Service summary). Check your state and local rules before you order.

Germination Guarantee

We found no germination guarantee on the Bushplanet site: no percentage, no replacement formula and no claim window for seeds that fail to sprout. Its seed category page only offers storage and germination advice, saying well-stored seeds usually sprout within 48 to 72 hours.

What does exist is a general claims procedure for faulty or wrong deliveries: email [email protected] with the invoice number of your delivery (as the English claims page puts it; the German page we checked on Oct 22, 2026 asks for the delivery note number), the exact product name, a precise description and photos, then return the goods if asked, with the delivery note or a copy enclosed in the parcel. Bushplanet then checks the claim and offers a replacement or repair if there is a manufacturing or material defect. The page does not mention germination. For plants, the terms say successful cultivation depends on location, care and conditions, and Bushplanet gives no guarantee for it. If a guarantee matters to you, ask before you order and keep your delivery note and photos of your germination attempt.

Payment Methods

Payment is the biggest current weak spot, and Bushplanet presents it as temporary. According to Bushplanet’s payment page (checked Oct 22, 2026), bank transfer is the only method for now: Bushplanet says its payment partner SecPaid informed it that online payments would no longer be possible from Tuesday, October 13, 2026, and that it is working to bring them back. Until then, you pay by bank transfer, most quickly with the QR code shown after checkout, and the order is processed once the money arrives.

Before the suspension, SecPaid handled PayPal, Google Pay, Apple Pay, credit cards, Revolut and EPS, according to the archived clone category FAQ (April 2026). Those options were not listed on the payment page we checked. Bushplanet’s terms also mention payment in advance, bank transfer and credit card, plus cash on delivery via GLS in Austria and Germany, so check the checkout before you plan around them. We found no cryptocurrency option.

Deals, Loyalty and Discount Codes

As of October 2026, these are the ways to pay less at Bushplanet:

Current sale. A winter promotion offered 25% off many seeds and grow products on October 22, 2026 (for example Sensi Seeds Blue Skunk, 10 seeds, €48.75 instead of €65.00).

3 for 2 on seedlings. When we checked on Oct 22, 2026, selected seedling bundles, such as Dutch Passion Blue Zushi, Sweet Seeds Gorilla Girl F1 and Sweet Seeds Green Poison, cost €35.00 for three instead of €52.50. This is a seedling offer; we found no volume discount on clones.

Coupon codes. We found no public Bushplanet coupon code on the site. The newsletter sign-up promises offers and vouchers by email. Per the terms, only one coupon code can be used per order, codes cannot be combined, and they may or may not apply to discounted products. Treat codes on third-party coupon sites with caution.

Loyalty. We found no points or rewards program on the site.

Customer Service

Bushplanet lists these channels on its contact, claims and store pages:

A phone line with fixed hours and separate email addresses for orders, product questions and claims is better than many seedbanks offer. The policy pages are not fully in sync, though: the terms still give [email protected], and the claims page quotes phone hours of 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays. On public complaint handling there is little data: we found no Better Business Bureau profile (not unusual for an Austrian company), and its SmartCustomer (formerly Sitejabber) page had no reviews on October 22, 2026.

Reputation

Independent review data on Bushplanet is thin. SmartCustomer lists the shop as unclaimed with zero reviews, and a BBB search returns no results (both checked October 22, 2026).

On Reddit, Bushplanet comes up mainly in German-language threads, and the mentions are short:

• In a r/microgrowery thread on where to buy seeds in Europe (February 25, 2024), one user simply answered “Bushplanet”, without details.
• In a r/germantrees thread on clone suppliers (July 23, 2025), Bushplanet was named by two users, one of whom said they had noted the shop but had not ordered yet.
• In a r/Canbau thread about delayed Sensi Seeds orders (April 4, 2024), a commenter summarized a forum post claiming Bushplanet had been hard to reach before its insolvency. This is a second-hand remark, not a documented complaint.

We found no verified pattern of complaints about lost orders or seed quality, but also too few detailed customer reports to call its service record proven. The 2024 restructuring is documented and, by the company’s own account, completed.

Website and Usability

The site shows live stock for the webshop and each store, an estimated delivery date on product pages and filters for flowering type, breeder and seed type. Product pages give indica/sativa ratio, flowering time and THC range, but the terms state that breeder descriptions are copied in without editing, so treat effect and yield claims as the breeder’s marketing. An English version exists, including English policy pages, although some product names stay in German. The drawbacks are the online payment suspension described on the payment page (checked Oct 22, 2026), which leaves only bank transfer for now, and the inconsistencies between the terms, the shipping, payment and contact pages.

Who Bushplanet Suits, and Who Should Look Elsewhere

A good fit if you: live in Austria or Germany and want low shipping costs (free from €80), fast delivery and the option to buy seedlings or clones; want original packs from established European breeders; or want to visit a physical store near Vienna. If you are considering seedlings or clones, read the legal note in the catalog section first: German customs has treated potted seedlings sent from Austria as banned cannabis imports, and growing cannabis to produce narcotics is illegal in Austria.

Look elsewhere if you: live in the US, UK, Canada or Australia (no shipping); live in the more distant EU countries, where shipping costs €22 to €60 unless you spend €220 to €600; want to pay by card or PayPal right now; or want a written germination guarantee.

Scoring Summary

Bushplanet scores 5.7/10 overall. Product Range is the strongest category at 7.5/10: 718 seed listings from a dozen established breeders, every seed type, and seedlings and clones that few online seed shops offer (for buyers in Austria and Germany). Price and Value lands at 6.0/10, with breeder-level regular prices, a 25% sale and 3-for-2 seedling bundles, but no loyalty program and high free-shipping thresholds outside Austria and Germany.

Seed Quality and Germination and Customer Service each score 5.5/10. The seeds are original breeder packs, but there is no germination guarantee, only a general claims procedure. Service has a phone line with set hours and separate emails for orders, product questions and claims, against thin independent feedback and a 2024 restructuring. Shipping and Delivery (5.0/10) is clear and fast within Austria and Germany, but it covers only the EU, with no US, UK, Canadian or Australian delivery. Website and UX (5.0/10) is held back by the online payment suspension described on its payment page (checked Oct 22, 2026) and by policy pages that contradict each other.

Final Verdict

Bushplanet is a long-established Austrian shop with a large, mainstream seed catalog and a real extra in its seedlings and clones. For growers in Austria and Germany it is a convenient option: shipping is cheap (€6.50 to Austria and €8 to Germany, free above a threshold) and quoted at one to three working days, and the stores near Vienna let you buy in person. Live plants carry legal risks that differ by country, so check the rules first.

The limits are concrete. Bushplanet ships only within the EU, so it is no option for US, UK, Canadian or Australian buyers. According to its payment page (checked Oct 22, 2026), it accepts only bank transfer for now, it publishes no germination guarantee, and independent customer feedback is scarce. Its 2024 restructuring is documented and, by its own account, completed. If those points are not deal-breakers, it is a reasonable choice inside the EU.
