Use the suitable intensity and spectrum of light to encourage the cannabis plant to grow bush out.
Switch to flowering sooner than later. Sour Tangie grows a lot during the vegetative phase but can still double her size during early flowering. She can grow up to 10 feet high, so we recommend starting the flowering stage when she’s already half her maximum height.

Other height-limiting tricks during the vegetative stage:

Bend or perform Low-stress training (LST) to keep stretching under control. It will keep your Sour Tangie lower to the ground and increase light penetration to the lower bud sites, resulting in better or equal bud development across the entire plant. The method is best employed early on.
Topping is a more aggressive method. It involves cutting the top of the Sour Tangie off, where the primary cola would eventually grow, to force the plant to develop two new main colas and grow outward instead of upward.
The screen of green (ScrOG) training method involves growing your SOur Tangie through a mesh screen and tying her down. It exposes more surface area to light and encourages outward growth.

If you’re unable to prevent your Sour Tangie from getting too tall while vegetating, you can still do something during the flowering stage.

Lessen the light exposure to 11 or even 10 hours or turn down the light intensity to reduce Sour Tangie’s growth ability. Don’t decrease it too much, as it might ruin your crop.
Lollipop Sour Tangie to control growth and reduce chances of mold infestation. Please do this before stretching happens, as it won’t work once it has already started.
