Sour Tangie is available in regular or feminized seeds, which means they need to be exposed to a certain amount of light to produce flowers. The flowers of this strain are characterized by their small to medium size and chunky, somewhat tapered form. The sugar leaves are a mossy green with fiery orange pistils strewn throughout. Finally, the buds are topped off with a glistening white coat of trichomes that make breaking them up without a grinder quite challenging.
Sour Tangie has two phenotypes. You can either go for the more Sour Diesel or more Tangie. Either way, both finish in 9 to 10 weeks and grow very tall. She grows fast in the vegetative phase and continues stretching vertically up to the 4th week of flowering.
Luckily for home gardeners, Sour Tangie can be grown indoors or out, although outdoor cultivation is best done in places with consistent sunlight, as well as hot and semi-humid conditions. In an ideal setting, one plant can produce up to 850 grams of fresh crops, which growers in the northern hemisphere can harvest around mid-October.
Because of her dominant sativa genetics, Sour Tangie is likely to become very tall, necessitating indoor gardeners to keep her height manageable by trimming occasionally. In a Screen of Green setup, the cannabis strain can reward patient weed gardeners with a high production, estimated between 500 to 600 grams of pungent flowers per square meter.
Sour Tangie is a great strain to cultivate. Intermediate growers can produce exceptional crops with the right amount of attention and care. They can even take advantage of the strain’s incredible resin production, making oil extraction worthwhile.
Sour Tangie can be quite a challenge for indoor growers because of her tall and lanky growth pattern. Her height can quickly get out of control and outgrow your garden, and a giant cannabis plant does not always mean a bigger crop production. Quite the opposite, stretching can be a sign that the plant is unhappy—often because she is not receiving enough light.
So, how can you prevent Sour Tangie from growing too tall? There are several ways, some can even help increase your yield.

If you’re unable to prevent your Sour Tangie from getting too tall while vegetating, you can still do something during the flowering stage.
