A heavenly marriage of two of the most well-loved strains in the cannabis world.
Amnesia Kush combines the excellent genetics of two world-famous strains: Amnesia Haze and OG Kush.
The former is a Sativa-heavy cross of the classic Haze and several landraces, while the latter is a hybrid that is so legendary that even people outside cannabis circles have heard of it. Together, they produced an outstanding plant that offers impressive yields of highly resinous, aromatic, and flavorful buds.
This strain inherited both parents’ sturdy and resilient growth characteristics. However, it can potentially grow to a skyscraping height. As a result, it requires a space that will allow it to stretch upward. Otherwise, the cultivator must be prepared to apply some training techniques to control its size. Another option would be to cultivate the autoflowering version instead of the photoperiod one. The auto plant may be smaller, but it is just as potent.
Either variant has a THC level that consistently tips the scales at about 20%. That gives the lemony, earthy buds the power to generate a euphoric buzz that lasts for hours. They can even inspire creative thinking and increase self-confidence while inducing a warm, soothing feeling in the body.
For these reasons, Amnesia Kush is also in high demand at medical marijuana dispensaries. It can be a delicious, all-natural alternative to antidepressants and anxiolytic drugs. It also has pain-killing properties that can soothe muscle and joint aches. Furthermore, it can boost the appetite and prevent nausea.

Whether it’s the photoperiod or autoflower version, Amnesia Kush is relatively easy to grow. Its water and nutrient requirements are pretty average, and it exhibits strong resistance to pests and diseases. Although it has the long and narrow leaves of a typical Sativa, its internodal gaps are not too wide. They give the plant a more compact and sturdy structure, meaning it does not need additional support to help it stand straight.
This strain is a generous yielder, producing an abundance of buds in a comparatively short time. The nugs are Indica-like with a pinecone shape and a dense core. As they ripen, they will be bristling with long and wispy, vivid orange pistils. Its coat of crystalline trichomes is unusually thick and fuzzy, giving the entire plant a cobwebby appearance.
Amnesia Kush loves the great outdoors, where it can collect the sun’s rays and sway in a light breeze. It prefers a warm tropical climate, but it can also flourish in temperate areas as long as there is not much rainfall. If the weather is consistently balmy, one plant can generate a harvest of 600 to 800 grams (21 to 28 ounces). However, it can reach a tremendous height of 3 meters (10 feet) – not ideal if you are trying to keep your cannabis garden a secret.
Fortunately, there are ways to limit its size. Topping, fimming, or super cropping are some of the techniques you can employ. Not only do they train the plant to grow in a horizontal direction instead of vertically, but they can also enhance the yield. These high-stress techniques trigger the plant’s defensive mechanisms, causing it to take up more nutrients and produce more cannabinoids and terpene-rich trichomes.
But then again, this strain’s pervasive odor could attract the wrong kind of attention. Because of these challenges, it is much simpler to cultivate it indoors. Inside a grow room or tent equipped with a carbon filter, it is easier to grow discreetly. In addition, you can install a screen and use low-stress training to manage the plant’s size. After 8 to 10 weeks, you should be able to collect 500 to 600 grams (18 to 21 ounces) of delectably sticky nugs per square meter of grow space.
Note that these seeds are feminized, which means that there is no need to sex the plants at the end of the vegetative stage. An all-female crop is 99.99% guaranteed, so you do not have to spend extra time and effort to weed out pollen-carrying male plants that could contaminate the buds.
AutofloweringAmnesiaKush will not give you the same problem as the photoperiod version with regard to its size. With an average height of only 70 cm (28 inches), it can be placed anywhere. You can hide it away in a closet or leave it out in the open to blend in with your other houseplants (assuming you don’t mind the smell). Furthermore, it matures much faster, allowing you to reap a harvest just 10 to 12 weeks from the time you sow the seed.
To maximize your indoor space and make more efficient use of resources like electricity and water, you can raise several plants simultaneously. They do not even have to be in the same growth phase. Due to Amnesia Auto’s ability to switch to the budding stage on its own without waiting for the light schedule to change, you can keep seedlings and flowering plants in the same space. By setting aside a one square meter area for 7 to 9 plants to develop at the same time, you can expect a yield of 300 to 400 grams (11 to 14 ounces).
If you have access to a greenhouse or an appropriate garden area, you can also rear this strain outdoors without any worries. Since one of its parents is a Ruderalis, it has the genes to handle colder temperatures. Nonetheless, you should make sure that it is exposed to plenty of sunlight so that it can fulfill its potential of 100 to 150 grams (3.5 to 5 ounces) of smokable weed per plant. That may not seem like a lot, but with advanced planning, you can continuously germinate and plant new seeds for a perpetual harvest.
