Trainwreck Strain FAQ
What’s the ideal temperature and humidity level for photoperiod Trainwreck plants in the vegetative and flowering phase?
All plants need the right combination of temperature and humidity to grow, and cannabis is no exception. During the vegetative phase, cannabis plants prefer a temperature around 22 to 28ºC with a humidity level of around 60 to 70%. This can be achieved by using a humidity dome or setting up a humidifier near the plants. The ideal temperature is slightly lower during the flowering phase at around 20 to 26ºC. However, the humidity level should be reduced to 50 to 60% to prevent mold and mildew attacks. By carefully regulating the temperature and humidity, growers can ensure that their plants stay healthy and produce plentiful buds.
What’s the ideal temperature and Relative Humidity level for autoflowering Trainwreck?
For best results, we recommend setting the temperature between 18 and 25ºC, while the humidity level should range around 60 to 80%.
How often should I defoliate Trainwreck plants?
Trainwreck cannabis plants are known for their lush foliage. As beautiful as they are, it is often necessary to defoliate the plants to improve air circulation and promote better light exposure. For example, defoliation can help remedy the situation if the leaves are blocking the light from reaching the lower parts of the plant or if the plants are growing too close together and air circulation is poor. In general, it is best to defoliate bushy photoperiod cannabis strains every 2 to 4 weeks. Auto Trainwrecks, on the other hand, should have at least 4 to 5 days of recovery between defoliations. This will ensure that the plants stay healthy and vigorous while still providing plenty of shade and support for one another.
If my Trainwreck is an autoflower, do I need to change light cycles?
Autoflowers do not depend on a shift to a 12/12 light cycle to trigger flowering, but we recommend growing the auto plants under 18/6, 20/4, or 24/0 lighting.
Is Auto Trainwreck a heavy feeder? Most autos aren’t.
No, this autoflowering variety doesn’t need more nutrients than other autos. We suggest providing half of the recommended amount in the manufacturer’s guidelines and only gradually increasing if the plant shows signs of nutrient deficiency. Also make sure to provide good-quality nutrients.
Can I grow auto Trainwreck in 1-gallon pots? Will the pot size affect the yield?
Using 1-gallon containers will result in smaller Trainwreck autos and, consequently, lower yields. The harvest size will definitely be affected, but not the bud quality.
How pungent is Trainwreck? I have an anti-odor carbon filter system that isn’t working great anymore. Do I need to get a new one?
Trainwreck is pungent, but it isn’t as loud as Chemdawg, Gelato, Sour Diesel, Cheese, or Super Skunk for example. Still, the probability of its smell spreading is high if you don’t have a good carbon filter or odor neutralizer.
What’s the best organic super soil recipe for cannabis plants?
Not all cannabis plants are finicky, but one of the best ways to ensure a bountiful harvest is to start with high-quality soil. While there are many different recipes for organic super soil, one of the most popular is the Lucas formula. This recipe calls for equal parts peat moss, perlite, and vermiculite, along with generous amounts of compost and worm castings. Once mixed together, the soil should be allowed to age for at least six weeks before being used. This aging process allows the various ingredients to break down and become more readily available to plants. The Lucas formula can help produce healthy plants with abundant yields when used correctly.
