Autopilot XXL is a beauty, especially once she reaches late flowering. She’s an eye-catching blend of dark green leaves, fiery orange pistils, and frosty-white trichomes. Although not as resinous as strains like Northern Lights and White Widow, her flowers have a nice weight and are very dense with a good amount of trichs.
Because of her Indica-dominant genetics, Autopilot XXL grows bushy, with several long side blooms and a single apical cola. The strain takes 8 to 9 weeks to go from seed to harvest, reaching a meter tall indoors or between 1.2 and 1.4 meters outdoors by the end of her lifecycle. While many other autoflowering varieties finish faster and grow smaller, this lady puts to use those growth traits to develop high-quality buds.
The non-finicky nature of Autopilot XXL allows her to grow well in almost any medium. However, you must ensure that the substrate is airy, with plenty of space for the plant to spread her roots. It should also not be full of nutrients, so you can provide her nutritional needs when watering. This strain has quite an appetite, requiring nute feeding twice a week with an ideal EC level of 2.0 during the final three weeks of her life cycle.
When growing indoors, you can increase the total bud production by placing around six Autopilot XXL for every square meter, creating a canopy of buds that appears like a “Sea of Green”. This technique should easily fill out a grow space, but if you prefer to cultivate without clustering your plants, you can still achieve up to 125 grams from just one auto.
Outdoors, she’ll do even better and produce up to 300 grams per plant when grown in optimal conditions. This strain can thrive outside in any season as long as there’s no frost and she receives at least five hours of light daily, although a warm setting with long sunshine duration yields a bigger harvest.
